According to HS, this quest is supposed to reward 151,500 exp after killing the Timer and then the last quest for the questline is supposed to give 11 fame after feeding the egg. But it looks like you don't get any exp until you finish the entire questline and it does not reward any fame. Here's some screenshots showing me talking to the NPC and it says I get 11 fame, but then in the chat it says I received 500k exp.
