Earlier this morning CNY 2023 event was released, and it seems that the Red Envelope drop rate was once again nerfed. The exact same thing happened last year where with the release of the event we were getting 35-40 RE per 1 hr of Quad mage ulu (which is like 25% of normal rates compared to other years), which later got reverted back to OG drop rates (140ish an hour for Quad mage ulu). Granted, the rates are not as bad this year, as people are getting around 70-80 RE per hour of Quad mage ulu, but this does not change the fact that RE drop rates have been cut in half, why..? At this point, it doesn't give the same taste to CNY, I would even argue Christmas / Anniversary event had better meso/hr farming rates, sigh. Please do share your numbers and rates here so we can build a larger sample size together! Rates from friends / guildies who didn't want to comment here : - 69 envelopes per hour (Quad mage ulu) - 60 envelopes per hour (Quad mage ulu) - 67 envelopes per hour (Quad mage ulu) - 61 envelopes per hour (Quad mage ulu) - 21 envelopes per hour (1 hit skele with telecasting)
I think you just automatically answered your own question about the why in your initial post. I am duo client farming FP orBS (1 acc) and my BM (other acc) and it yields 50 coupons in 1 hour but I did not try Ulu2 yet.
Isn't it already applied? That's the implication I got when they last discussed the nerf in patch notes, and would also track with Tail's rates
The RE drop rate seems pretty much the same as Xmas box. But I would assume that 5k NX or meso for RE also nerfed like xmas box too. Seems it’s more balance now.
Got 67 RE/hr also. At this point looks like make ppl complain about this at the start of the event is part of the event itself, It happens every year since I joined. Another thing, the rate from ppl whos farming RE in other ways(wont mention to no screw ppl who shared me these info) who arent using ultimates is way more than twice as good as an equivalent mage farming set up. I understand the nerf on power mage farming, but idk if the measurements have become a bit too punishing on them.
