I decided to comeback as well.. Just the usual annual quit and repeat since 2014. I'll add you up once I'm finished downloading. Almost a year in lockdown, we all need someone to talk to.
welcome back man, we're pretty much alike. as Go Miko said above, I also stop playing and come back every now and then. I'm always around on forums, so we can catch up and play or chat whenever you want. hugs and stay safe!
sadly i've quit again because i realised i've played maple for the community aspect and i wasn't able to make friends this time around due to the differences of how i enjoyed maple (meeting and talking with new people in party quests) and how you're supposed to enjoy maple now (maple gets fun after 135+ blablah), i still had some of my old friends playing royals but all of us didn't have a goal except to just orbis pq together which got stale after awhile since rewards weren't great and we had no goals for the future of the game, plus this time i was too lonely tbh, i don't usually join games to meet people, i join games to enjoy the game and i really don't enjoy maplestory anymore, i miss when channels were full, when it wasn't an issue to gather players around to pq together, to steal channels from other players, tracking names, back then it wasn't about efficiency, it was more of if we'd even get into a party run we'd already be grateful but now it's all about leveling up as fast as possible so you could end up bossing end game, i've enjoyed a different kind of maplestory but i kept coming back because there was no other mmorpg that made it feel like grouping up was a must early on (except for release archeage but that's a different matter) if i get into end game in these modern mmo mindset (end game is when the game starts being fun) maybe i'll enjoy it more but i want to enjoy my journey leveling up to end game y'know? but i have my issues where i hate grinding and some people have told me i'm playing the wrong game if i didn't enjoy grinding, maple is grindy while i only loved the party quest aspect of maplestory.
