Solved [Solution Given] Constant DC back to main log in screen

Ign - Barrage, Kanife, Mullet, Unitz

Constantly dcing every 10sec - 5mins

Never shuts down the client only dcs me back to the main log in screen with message *unable to connect to server*

Therefore I am a FM hoe now as it is too unstable to play the actual game

Has started happening since thanks giving event.

Have tried
*multiple different wifis
*windows defender fix
*disabling full screen resolutions

No other antiviruses that I know of

Which ever date thanks giving started which I cant remember.
But it has been 5x worse when the xmas even started.

Country NewZealand (spark) and Australia I use Starlink. I'm use them 50/50

First attempt says: sent 372, recieved 371. Failed 1 times. Highest 595ms lowest 362ms.
Failed once on about the 30th ping.

Second attempt : sent 120 recieved 120 0 fails. Highest 581ms avg 416ms lowest 366ms.

Do you want me to try a bit more?

Update : Just tried the ping test again with royals running, still dcing frequently and no time out errors on the CMD while I'm dcing.

 

Nope I cant use another network while I'm away at work. Would getting a VPN help?

Just confused why I never had problems for the last 8 years and now it's happening out of no where on 3 different networks

Edit. Maybe I will try the server on a different device and see if it fixes it

Hi, sorry for the intrusion. I'm facing the same issue, thought it would be better to reply here rather than making a new thread.

I've never experienced these constant DC in all the previous years I've played the game. I'm not entirely sure in which patch was the problem introduced in my case, because I didn't play much in November-December last year. I picked it up again recently after these 2 months of absence.

Yes, I did a couple of these tests after the DCs, all of them share similar results.

 

Sounds like we have the same problem then Cae Cause I've played since 2014 and havnt had any problems until these recent updates

 

Yes, it also happens when I afk in FM.

I'm currently raising 2 characters, and so far the DCs has happened on both of them.

One thing that comes to mind are the shoutout smegas, because my client lags for like a third of a second before one appears on the screen. I don't know if that happens to everyone, just me, or people with low spec laptops. Sometimes it feels like a smega is going to pop up but then I get DCd. Shoutout smegas being the problem doesn't make much sense though, if we consider they have been in our server for a long time, so it's more like an uninformed guess.

Besides that, I formatted my laptop around October and started having these issues when I reinstalled the game this month, so maybe I was missing doing some config stuff. I also tried with both the WZ and the IMG setups but the problem persists. I've been looking on the forums for the tech troubleshoot thread I used to know but couldn't find it lol. Is there anything else I have to do besides turning off the in game server clock?

 

is there a possibility that these issues are server sided? cause the game has been running smoothly for all of us until the new patch that's when a few(and a lot more haven't said nun) of us started having these problems? I really wanna do bosses again
