Hello fellow maplers, I'm seeking advice on one of Krexels attacks, the sprouting green plant in particular. (hopefully that made sense) Anyway as a corsair, I don't understand how to predict that attack to dismount my ship in time, hence my boat breaks faster than it should. I'd like to know how to tell when Krex will use this attack. Thanks in advance
I usually just dismount whenever krex's eyes start glowing and he starts casting a spell. It is usually his mini gene attack or the plants. I haven't exactly krexed since a few weeks ago so I may be wrong. Honestly though, if your ship has some decent HP, it shouldn't even matter. I barely ever dismount on krex since my ship has over 80k HP. I think I have you added in game so I may be able to krex with you. Good luck!
If you listen to the game with audio you can hear a specific sound it always casts before attacking with 'the sprouting green plant.' Usually there is a slight delay between this sound and the time it actually hits you so it should alert you to dismount.
Personally for dismounting at krex: Energy Beams/Pillars: The beams that shoot up from the ground are easy to dismount for, but most corsairs I boss with tend to dismount for the attack too early. You can keep on attacking even while the beam is flashing upwards; you just need to dismount at the very last moment before the beam disappears - the moment when the beam starts to disappear is when you actually take the damage. This way, you can maximize the amount of DPS you do while avoiding damaging your ship. Green Sprout: I turn on sounds while I krex, but I know most people don't. When I don't have my audio on when I krex, I just watch out for the top left corner of the screen. When krex is about to use the green sprout attack, there is a small green leaf that appears on the very top left of my screen - this is when it uses the green sprout attack. Dismount shortly after you see this and you'll be fine. Make sure you dismount for the correct small green leaf; there is a green leaf symbol that appears on the top of the screen towards the left side, but this isn't an indicator of the green sprout attack. Only when the leaf symbol appears at the very left corner of the screen is it an indicator of an incoming sprout attack. ^ Words got kind of tangled up there but I hope it made sense
Thank you for the responses guys~ I'll give it a go today as i usually play without sound, I'll keep an eye out for the leaf and glowing eyes. I do have another question regarding my sair's ability to horntail and how to hp wash. I'm at lvl 158 but only have 5923hp, 4107mp. I'd like to know how I should wash to be able to horntail.. I saw lyriums comment in an earlier thread saying 7.5k is okay for ht, 9k being the safest. Should I just wear int equips upon leveling now and wash it out? Or mp wash?
