Hey, i'm kind of new to this game so i'm wondering: Does a Corsair require HP wash for bossing etc? Also, is it any good compared to the other attackers? Thx! ;P
You will need to wash to tank bosses like HT, shaolin, toad etc without HB And about how good is it, it seems very good in single target bosses who don't attack much (krex, bf, anego and so on) and it's probably the strongest class in these bosses, and you also aren't really reliant on buffs like SE and can still do a lot of damage when alone. In bosses that attack a lot (like HT body, toad, bga) it's not that good though and falls behind NLs in terms of damage. For example when I did horntail on my NL with a sair (who was a bit lower lvl than me but had better gear) the sair could white the preheads and do more damage than me (cause the prehead doesn't attack that much) but in the body I did most of the damage pretty easily even when I was the sed mule and brought a bishop mule that had to HS and dispel the party sometimes. I'd say the main disadvantage of corsairs compared to NLs (who are their main rivals) is that the Corsair's avoid is very low (even lower than archers) while NLs got a huge avoid. Basically as a corsair you'd get hit almost all the time and fall from platforms often, and this forces you to try dismounting the ship and become more squishy. While a NL can pretty much semi-afk holding 1 button and still do a lot of damage while barely getting hit and can also duo client.
