Crashing in Bosses

Conditions:
- I have the latest file downloaded (54.1)
- I play fullscreen
- I have an ultrawide monitor (screen doesn't stretch)
- Compatibility properties are in the picture given, it follows a forum post: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/fix-for-the-black-screen-dc-problem.65602/

What happens:
- Game freezes for ~3 seconds
- Black Screen
- .exe file disappears, back to desktop.

Other notable things:
- It's happened when I was in Zakum or Horntail.
- I gfxed in Zakum once per body, until I crashed 3rd body
- I gfxed only once in HT, before main body.

Can anyone help me with this? Am I not gfxing enough?

P.S.: Also, I'm a returning player and realized ~gm doesn't work anymore. How do I contact the gms without smegas now?

 

try set read only and run in compatibility mode for win7

also try GFX when every part is spawn and dead
(esc>down>down>enter>left>enter，esc>down>down>enter>right>enter)

yes,this is the way I set and I wouldn't dc unless there is a network issue between me or the server

Welp, I tried 4 HT after this conversation, but 2/4 times DCed with the specs.
It seems that I always DC ~10 seconds after tail is dead. Even if I GFX, I dc.

I thought the developers fixed the client so we wouldn't have to use VMWare, but I see now this is not the case. It's the same as it was in old source with no improvements.

Thank you for giving me an answer, I'll have to find a different method.

 

you can try running maple using your integrated graphics if you don't want to use vmware.

 

I've thought of that, but my CPU is a Ryzen 7 1700x so it doesn't have an integrated graphics card.

The reason why I prefer not to use VMWare is because I have a 1440p ultrawide monitor, which means the maplestory in VMWare is really really small. I don't have that great of an eyesight to begin with so it makes certain things a bit harder (can't see certain mechanics as clearly).

oh right. I've been using shiftwindow to resize my maple window however it looks really janky but at least it works. I've never tried using it while bossing though.
