With the introduction of Von Leon, MapleRoyals introduced a new weekly 2/2 cap boss system, unlike every other boss, which resets every week Monday 00:00 server time. Now, I wonder why this system shouldn't be implemented for all other bosses. Due to its reset time, people who play during specific times get a clear advantage over those who work or sleep during the reset (e.g., running two quick bosses back-to-back like Shao, Ellin Bosses, or Papu). Even further, since boss cards give drop buffs, there is a clear systemic advantage for people who play during a specific period of the day.

What I propose: Have quick bosses (Ellin, Papu, Shao) be on a 14/14 cap on a weekly or biweekly basis, and if possible, apply this system to all bosses in the future.

    Pros:
    • People who play in different time zones (which is quite a lot of people) are given fair opportunities.
    • Fight RG mesos, which have created huge inflation.
    Cons:
    • More NX influx into the community, leading to deflation.
    • People run fewer party bosses on one day of the week to grind and finish all the weekly caps on the changed bosses.

As someone who playes really close to reset. b2b Shao is pretty nice but it is pretty much the only advange you would get. B2b for other things is really not common.
As far as the card system its a one time buff which sure would be nice to take advantage of but its not that big of a deal.
On the other hand, if ellin bosses were to be weekly for example I would have definitely go to farm them, I dont do it now because of the travel time. But I really dont think its a good thing.

I thought about this idea awhile ago. But after attempting to make this post I decided it would be a bad idea. If exploiters have a way to kill bosses like HT, instead of just 2 times per day per character they are exploiting something on, it would be however much the weekly cap is. And if they have multiple characters set and ready to exploit, they could literally exploit hard. I bring this up, because at one point there was an exploit where they were meso exploding HT on a shad in less than 10 minutes.

    Just a thought:

This change might make it harder to coordinate multiple runs of certain content. (For example, there would be 28 APQ runs per week available.) The daily caps suggest what I feel is a comfortable level of time commitment for running certain content without inconveniencing others. (For example, everyone does 4 APQ runs per day with the same party.)

Although, these aren't just suggestions and are actually restrictions which may be inconvenient for players in certain timezones.

It would probabaly help in making short bossfights like Chao/Ephenia/Papulatus more popular, but they do not seems unpopular to begin with. Futhermore killing them 14 times in a row seems really boring and the idea doesnt seem to gather much support from the playerbase.

    Nevertheless thanks for your feedback!
