Greetings, i have a lvl 51 I/L Mage, and he is doing with the Multiple Thunders around ~650 dmg, which seems to be very low damage to me, because i need about 5 hits to a lvl50 mob. Is this amout of damage normally for the skill and the Level, or is it something like a bug? What can i do to higher my damage? And how much damage are you doing with your I/L Mage on this Level? Trapdoor IGN:xxXJJJXxx
I have an I/L @ lvl 50 and I do a bit more than twice the dmg. It really comes down to funding since the damage mages do at early levels seem to be affected by funding more than any other class. As long as your lukless you should be doing fine. The rest is just going to be about your equipment which depends on how much you can afford. At the very least I can assure you it's not because of a bug. Also make sure to always use wizard elixers( i think that's what its called) which you can buy at NLC to boost your magic by 20 when grinding.
First thank you for the Reply. I doesnt skilled the Buff from the Mage, maybe this could be one of the Problems? It´s my first Character on MapleRoyals, so i cant afford very much, but can you say wich Equipment you are using?( and how much Magic/Int you have) It´s not a luckless mage. Im already using the mage elixers but only the 5+ one.
Seems pretty normal to me. Mages true potential only come out when you kill monsters with an elemental weakness, which increases your damage by a lot! There's also a huge difference between level 1 and 30 of your aoe skill.
I assume you mean the skill meditation that gives +20 magic when maxed. The skill doesn't stack with any magic boosting consumables such as the wizard elixir I mentioned, and if you use the wizard elixir I mentioned than it has the exact same effect as the skill except that the elixir last way longer, so the skill is pretty much useless. Also you need to go luckless even if you are poor since putting Ap into luk will significantly reduce your damage As for the equipment that I am using that I can remember off the top of my head (all lukless) (Tma = Total Magic Attack) 32tma maple shield 23int bathrobe 32tma single earrings 5int deputy star 7 int blue jewelry shoes 88tma maple lama staff 16 int yellow adventurer cape 15tma red marker 9int raccoon mask 30 int zhelm Keep in mind that these items are altogether something like 6bil so you may not be able to afford the items with the same stats right off the bat. The cape, earring, gloves, and robe that I use are for all my characters for hp washing so they are not Mage specific. The Mage specific items are: Doros robe Black Noel gloves Fallen leaf earrings Purple adventurer cape (lvl65) If you get the Mage specific equivalents of these it would be a lot cheaper, but do keep in mind you will then have to buy separate hp washing equips for your future non Mage characters.
The Thunder AoE Skill is 30. Ah okay the Equipment explains a lot. With all together(except buffs, pots) i have around 290 Magic because a old Maple Staff and really useless Equipment^^. I didnt knowed that the buff is not stacking. Where do you got the +20 pots from? Maybe you could add the mage: xxXJJJXxx
You can get the pots from New Leaf City which you get to from the kerning city subway. Personally I use the wizard elixir instead of the skill for two reasons: 1. The elixir lasts 8 mins opposed to 3 mins and 20 secs of the buff so you dont have rebuff nearly as often 2. The buff effects the whole party and this could be a huge problem if other mages in your party busts out a more potent magic potion as it will cancel it out
You can quit Buffs by clicking on them. Two more Questions: How can i get to Singapore? Im always collecting These forging Manuals and Stimulators, what are they used for and how can i use them?
You can get to signapore by talking to the npc topright of the taxi in kerning. Forging manuals and stimulators can be used at npc's to craft items like weapons, gloves or shoes. Generally, only the weapons crafted in leafre are worth it, and they are often crafted using stimulators. When using a stimulator as opposed to a manual, the resulting item will be as if it was dropped from a mob (meaning it can be above average). Manuals are quite useless and you probably won't be able to sell them for more than npc price. Stimulators however, can be sold for 100-300k each (depending on the type of stimulator)
