Whenever I try to log in, I will have about 80% chance of disconnecting after selecting a character. I will usually keep trying by choosing different channels and eventually i might get into one. If I keep trying the same channel i will never be able to get on. Oddly enough though, I have noticed that this affects some of my characters more than others. Even two characters in the same account will have different success rate of logging on. My mule in one of my accounts has an almost perfect success rate in logging in but another character in the same account will have as little as 20% chance of logging in. Even more weirdly is that if i first try my main character and i could not log in, i could log into that aforementioned mule and my main will be able to log in into that same channel. I could then log off my mule and log into my other mains, and they would also be able to log into that same channel. Also, whenever I change channel, I will have about 50%-70% chance of disconnecting, and the way it disconnects is the same as when i unsuccessfully log in. I will enter the channel, be able to put one buff or execute one action before all the monsters freeze and I wont be able to use any more skills or enter any portal. Once i am disconnected, i will have to restart the whole logging in ritual all over again and I would definitely not be able to log into the channel that I dced from. It is just incredibly inconvenient to not be able to change channel freely or log in smoothly to find empty map or boss or APQ. If i do not cc, all my characters are stable without ever dcing. His situation has resolved since the new patch 51 but mine has persisted. Any input from anyone is appreciated! PS: I have tried reinstalling client, changing computer and changing OS from windows xp in parallel to windows 10 in bootcamp. But all have failed to remedy the error. Update 14/3/18: whenever i dc when i try to log in or when i cc and i try to track the character , the information given would be [unable to find ""] instead of the usual [unable to find "ign"]. This will last about 30 seconds and during which i would not be able to log in into that character as the client will tell me I'm already logged in. Once the track goes back to normal, i would be able to attempt log in again.
After doing some browsing on the forum, i realise that there have been cases of seemingly isolated incidents of similar nature happening since months ago. The common trend is dcing when selecting char, changing channel and entering cs. I do not enter the cs often/at all which is perhaps why i have not noticed the problem with entering cs. But i highly suspect that we are all having the same issue. My bf seems to have the same problem, he kept dc when he chose character, and the Royal will say "you disconnect, please try again later."
I think it is a problem which only appears whose internet speed is not very high. For example, my bf's net speed only 500kb/1sec. But when he use his cellphone internet (speed 20mb/1sec), the dc problem won't appear. However, before the update, his mapleroyals is normal at 500k speed and do not get dc.
hmm I dont think it has to do with the speed of the connection as my connection is quite speedy. But it is true that it is related to the connection in some way but im not sure in what way either...
ok I think I have the same problem now after this server maintenance ... keep dc every 5~10 min, and sometimes dc when I chose the character. This server get more and more unstable I think ...
hmm that sounds like a different problem though; i dont ever dc once i manage to log on and if i dont ever cc or enter cs. does ur bf dc if he doesnt cc or enter cs?
yeah, he usually dc when he cc, but he may not dc after he enter cs. However, my case is mapleroyals will become very lag and keep dc after 1p.m.. It is annoying because my shop will close and other ppl will get my spot ... sad
