i dislike the idea of HP washing it's not difficult just boring in the sense i have to make a mage to sell leeches just to HP wash a toon i want to play. So what i am wondering is if there is any guilds/large amount of groups that will take an unwashed person of ANY class excluding mages to boss with just for fun of course not to sell runs or w.e. i don't like the fact that if i wanted to boss i'd have to wash and buy leech but first farm meso's to me that defeats the purpose of coming back to this version of MS when i could just play reboot and do the same thing but on a main and farm mesos there and solo bosses. IF yes what class would be best for doing so? idc about difficulty of bossing or how long it takes just that it's doable. Don't want to exhaust my efforts in making an unwashed character just to not get invited to boss runs because i didn't HP wash or play X class that is weak. i know there is 1 guild with unwashed players but idk if that guild is active at all doesn't seem to be. i am talking NO washing at all btw NOT "some" washing. maybe my 2nd toon i will wash for experience but would love to make an unwashed class and be able to do end game content when i'd like instead of buying services.
I welcome most people in my guild, washed or not. It's just that you won't be able to join certain bosses if you dont wash. I have two characters which are washed quite a bit and they can go up against any boss. I also have a marksman that isn't washed, but is still able to sell helms and krex rings. Since my marksman is ranged, it ain't that big of an issue, it just needs more elixirs than my other characters ^^ If you want to go unwashed and not a mage, maybe go bowmaster/marksman, or sair, since they don't need to worry much about physical damage anyway.
i'm not washed at all....all it boils down to is if you have enough hp to run the boss or not...that's pretty much it...plain and simple. I don't see why anyone would reject you other than you not having enough hp to run the boss. I'm a shadower with 0 washing, mesoguard + HB gives me 20k hp so i can join a good amount of bosses.
You don’t “have” to do anything, I have never sold leech in my entire life and I have a 30k capable NL sitting on 11k hp as of now with very good gear and a 30k hero (both have mw20 too). I do own a bs though. I know people who got even better results without seling leech. Think about it - most people sell leech on this server and most people are not rich. Just saying. You don’t even have to wash to do most bosses, really.
I just want to be able to do every single boss once at least idc what level im able to do them at nor do i care about competing damage i want to play to have fun my way. Came from WoW where i played competitively gets exhausting when people only want certain classes and you spend hours trying to find a group to run content with. Very stressful as well farming gear to get to those points as it turned into a mandatory thing which takes countless hours to get to. Rewarding but not fun and to me it killed the community aspect of the game
you won't have enough HP without HB for a lot of bosses, even then depending on class you won't have enough. It all depends what boss you want to run. You will not be able to run all bosses at least once without washing or extra HB/ mesoguard/ HP items. It all comes down to what boss you want to run.
Bosses that i need items for like ht. Idc for grinding bosses for exp i just dont like buying carries for gear. I like to get things on my own that i need or purchase basic stuff like books or clean gear then scroll it myself
You won't be able to HT without washing, depending on what class you are. If you are a NL for example without washing you'll only be able to do low level bosses (krex, zak, etc) HT maybe possible with HB not too sure. As a shadower since they have meso guard you can do many bosses as long as you have HB. So as i said depends on what class you are and what bosses you plan on running.
Average, natural HP of NL (who have one of the least HP among all attacker class) at lvl 155 according to Shiyui's HP chart is 5404. With HP quest 5404 + 500 = 5904 Other items such as medal, rings, belt, earring, face acc, pendant can give a minimum of 800 HP. 5904 + 800 = 6704 With HB 6704 x 1.6 = 10726.4 HP Min HP to survive all ranged attacks in HT is 9800 ish. One can survive even with much lower HP if they don't stand on the floor during the leg/tail phase. Hence, HT is completely doable without washing if you have HB.
or if you really want more HP go a warrior class that doesn't need washing, or like i said shadower which has meso guard and if you add in HB you have as high as 20k hp without washing depending on equips/level/hp quest
When talking about unwashed classes, one of the most popular ones would be Dark Knight, where they come with high HP gain & Hyper body. Player at early game would have access to purchase zakum helmets @lvl50 without any problems Powerful at CPQ 30-70 and grinding it up to 135 is actually pretty easy and common. I’d highly suggest this class. Eventually when u wish to hit the 30k HP mark with HB, you can still do it easily at end game which is completely not an major issue . And its cheap compared to others! Other popular classes are such as Paladins where they deal decent damage but are highly scouted for their crash, and additional supportive potential in boss runs. I know you included that you might not be as interested in archmage class, where they arn’t very popular in the bossing scene. But the “Bishop” route is still one of the favourites among every aspect of the game. Washing is optional, and with understanding of bosses. You can improve your team’s DPS, Survivability and ease during a boss run. Of course they are one of the best mesos making class in the game. So it might be an interesting class to put into consideration!
You can make a drk, you'd only need maybe 50 total int or so (from around lvl 50 I think) to get 30k HP with HB and washing it won't cost more than 2-3b. Paladins/Heroes also won't need that much washing (technically you can just not wash them at all, but it will things like sed in HT or tanking touch damage more difficult) to do all bosses unless you're aiming for like 30k HP Buccaneers/Shadowers will need some base INT if you want to tank all bosses without HB (you won't always find a drk to party with) and not die when you get dispelled on the shadower. However they don't need that much INT and washing and it's still doable to wash them without making a mage Ranged classes like archers, NLs and corsairs will need a lot of base INT and washing to tank bosses without HB though, and even with HB you won't tank soe bosses if you aren't washed. It will be difficult to wash them without making a mage or playing for a long time
Good thing the fm doesn't have a minimum hp requirement But in all seriousness, @OP do whatever you like. It's still possible to HT (the most mainstream endgame boss) Even with minimal washing on a bm/nl.. You can get away with it with your hp being as low as 8k~. And even if you do not hp wash, daily krexs/zaks can get you very far. These 2 bosses require no hp washing as long as you do not blindly walk into their body parts. Goodluck and of course.. have fun in royals.
I am thinking paladin would they be ok without washing? I do plan to wash 1 char later but not my 1st one. I have a cleric im lvling on the side to farm for that
Yea i have a lv 31 cleric but i played so many priests in gms i gotten tired of um i was.gonna lvl it up to fund my hp wash in the future as well
Since you said you didn't care about difficulty or duration, as long as it's doable, this might interest you. I learned hp washing half way into the game. (I was on my 2nd character MM around lvl 50+). So I started adding Int. My Int gear was whatever I picked up from the floor. Or spare mesos earned while grinding. And since I'm quite broke and didn't see the need to have hp as an immediate priority, I didn't wash any hp out till 160+. (BTW the total amount of leech I bought was less than 400m in a span of 3 years (going 4) and only started buying for usually lvl 118-120 or 133-135. Check my profile page statuses to see my character progression.) I forgot what hp I had for my MM, but from 135-150 I didn't ap reset for hp much (meaning any touch boss dmg I'm 100% dead). Then I had thought that I'm not going to waste my time creating a new character. So I added Int from lvl 150-180 base Int from 40-116. I eventually forced my hp up to 9k for HT runs so I could join more HT parties (used to be limited by whether they had a drk for HB). I gambled with defense and HT magic dmg hitting 1 instead of the 2k rocks during mass sed. As for shao, while I was still hp washing (without recreating / making mage / selling leech) I was fortunate to find parties willing to set up in a way I can get hb from fm from them or random players, then only attack the boss for the first 5mins. They were OK with it (shout out to those players, thx for helping me c. Well for toad, I still need hb now. That's for the closer to end game bosses. I have yet to start on neo tokyo. As for Zak and krex, I don't know why I've met so many players telling me they need to hp wash so that they can join a party for Zak / krex? Especially if you're ranged, to avoid the whole hp washing idea, just don't be careless + find a way to skillfully maneuver around without kissing the boss's body. I've done so many runs with 4k hp (talking about MM here), every hit I have to use a potion... Damn those were the days... Kept dying. PTSD, so now all my chars have at least 5 safety charms Then if you're going to talk about having high or decent damage before being accepted into a party. Well I'll just say everyone will fit somewhere. I've been denied many boss runs too due to range for Zak and krex (but not due to hp). But I've also been accepted by some which ask if I can apple instead and also to many "noobies" boss run. Again since you say you don't care about the difficulty, I've done 4-6 man krex runs (1.5hour per run) and 6 man exp Zak runs where we can rehelm (50min-1.5hour per run). Then with these people, you can add them in your buddy list for future runs improving together was quite an experience! You can also use the forum > community > parties to find low level runs. Usually there's the general understanding that the low level will be weak and inexperienced (but not many explicitly state it all the time), so once you've been accepted / found ppl you're interested in, just pm in game and organise the run. For anego, MM had a way to kill her safely. I remember the magic dmg could 1 hit me (not the slap), so I had to be extremely careful until I could slowly wash out some hp. As for Samurai (ninja castle) I wait till someone smega F>SE and is able to provide hb. If not, I'll just keep waiting till I find the right people for me . That's the story of my MM so far. As for my bucc, had it easier. Similar story, but hp washing was cheaper and base hp was wayyyyy higher. Basically less time consuming (in terms of levels) to get desired hp for late game bosses and fewer ap resets used. I started my bossing runs pretty rough. Long painful runs, low damage, high risk of dying if I fall asleep on the keyboard, rejected by most smega recruitment, LONG time organizing a party (literally whole day to do maybe 1 zak 1 krex run. The rest of my exp comes from tot grinding at memory lane 5 and oblivion 2). Eventually, now my Zak runs can be 16 mins, I have good damage and hp, and I can easily join most runs when ppl recruit now. Reminder that all this without selling leech or washing hp early. FYI, all my chars got their zhelm when they are level 135 (even my newest mage). Why? Because I Finally joined an exp Zak run and we can split helms. So you don't need to buy services for such items and can earn them by your own efforts. If you train alot, you'll probably have some mesos to buy leech for the times you're tired OR save it, rest, and train later. If you have the mindset of being easily accepted by anyone to a boss party, then I suggest to change it, especially if you're still starting out. Those people who rejected you are either pricks, or have already gone through their own tough period (like mine above-mentioned) and now would want to find ppl in similar positions to them (stronger and higher hp?). Just find ppl with similar character and playstyle to the current you, such as that guild you said you're looking for. TLDR LONG POST BUT FINALLY. It is doable. Having SE made it somewhat easier to find parties as compared to just being an attacker character. I would suggest to you a bucc, has decent hp, with the improvements made, buccs dmg are higher now too, making them more acceptable (imagine the hell I went through when buccs dmg were still bad :c). Having SI would make si reliant attackers accept you too Anyway all my characters will only reset Int out at lvl 200 =3= cuz I'm poor and also to maximize hp without recreating characters
On my NL I never did anything crazy. I washed all excess MP that I received from job advancements and I've purchased some basic INT equips that I wear when I level up, to boost MP gain a little. Doing it this way and also being clever with your other equipment you can do just fine. I can survive HT at level 150 with no problem at all. What I mean being clever with equips, for example wear a BFC over a PGC due to the 130 hp that it gives you. Sword earrings for HP over other earrings, Maple anniversary earrings for good stats + hp, obtain event equips such as rings that give HP and so on. It's pretty straight forward.
