For those of you who have played this game for a long time, have you experienced any malware/viruses? Sorry if I'm being paranoid, but I just want to make sure this PS is clean.

Yea this server is clean and does not have any malwares. The large database of players agree with this. Welcome to MapleRoyals!

I think most Maplestory clients tend to be wrongly detected as malware. It's a false positive and you need to add MapleRoyals.exe to your list of antivirus exceptions.

Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't say it is a virus. A lot of other antiviruses does though and that's because it contains something that a keylogger also contains (IP?).

My MSE did detect a virus. It was even so quick removing it everytime, I barely could add it to my exceptions.

OT: It's a 100% safe. Dont worry, have fun!

OF COURSE! Their evil plan to get our system info and take us all down in one fell swoop! WAKE UP ROYALS! Nah but really it's perfectly safe.

We are on Gtop, we have a community of 140 + players online and we have in-game screenshots... do you actually think that the staff will let you download a file that will harm you or your computer in any way?

Guess you don't know me! MUHAHAHAHA

Nah, all jokes aside: The client's perfectly safe, as all the others said before. :)

We have an impeccable track record! I believe there has not yet been a proven instance of anyone finding that they have contracted nasties like Norovirus, H5N1 or Varicella zoster virus from our Setup files. ^_~

In layman's terms, that roughly corresponds to "tummy bug", "bird flu" and "chickenpox", in that order!)

Anti-Viruses \ Virus Scanners can't always detect if there's something wrong with a file. I remember that I downloaded a server that it's localhost wasn't well edited, so it screw up my system and I literately had no other choice but format my computer.
