So the quest you could say got worse. Before the update, there would have multiple doll houses but they were all the same, the handles looked the same. Now there's 1 doll house in the same spot and it's not the one you need to complete the quest. This is happening to me, i can't speak for everybody.
You will be able to turn in the pendulum now at least. The problem where houses stack on top of each other is a known bug.
