Hello. So I was thinking about donating for this server. And since I have no CreditCard or a Paypal account or anything, I was wondering; why isn't there a PaySafeCard option? I'd love to see that, and I'm sure some other would appreciate that aswell. If it's not possible, may I know why? Thanks in advance
It's more of a matter of how they deal with things financially on their end. For example, ExtaliaMS used to have players go through hurdles to donate in order to guarantee safety. While a PaySafeCard might be an option it's more of a matter of security. Paypal is a very secure website that the kind managers of Royals can moderate and check on to make sure payments are going through (PS people who have their payment bounced are immediately banned).
PaySafeCard is a one-way type payment method, which means there is no way of charge-backing it or disputing the payment. The matter of security there is out of question, once redeemed it is not possible to get the money back anymore, and the one that redeemed it will have the PSC money forever. And staff can set up a wallet with dev code which is already done by PaySafeCard, it's just all about implementing it into the donator system so people can choose to checkout with PaySafeCard. I own a multi-gaming website that sells digital goods in WoW/Runescape for some time already, staff of MapleRoyals should really consider adding as much payment options as possible. It's just a pure fact that some people own different payment options than others, and not everyone has PayPal. There is still plenty of safe payment options that are popular like Bitcoin, Skrill, Western Union, and adding each of them to my website made my revenue increase almost twice. Just a friendly tip here for staff or royals. In the end donations are donations, as far as people need to login on site or give their usernames (which they do, because they need to get their donator points), it's fine to go even for the less-safe payment options, because in the end if someone chargebacks you can always permaban the user.
