You can't link an image by copying the file location. Upload the image to a site like imgur.com and then use the image button next to the smiley and paste the URL (image address) It could be caused by you using have some antivirus program enabled on your computer that causes the problem or maybe a firewall. Also if you downloaded the setup with any browser security, like google chrome has it's "anti phishing protection" it might corrupt the download. Easiest way to start would be to download it again, if you still encounter any problems start by disabling any antivirus programs and firewall to locate the problem.
