Most private server clients are coded similarly to a virus since in essence it "hacks" the base game and connections (moreso after nexon removed the gamelauncher). If you don't trust it, you're free to not download the client and not play on the server.
I'm just here for information and clearly want to play the game, no need to get so edgy. My computer detected "Occamy.c" is that the private server code you were referring to ? Also i'm still getting alerts regarding this "virus" after i uninstalled the game.
Long story short, it's a false positive. If you still get an alert after uninstalling the game, it's either you have other private servers installed, or your computer is actually infected (but not caused by MapleRoyals).
This is the first maplestory private server i've ever installed. The virus detection is clearly pointing at MapleRoyals
If you install other private servers, it will be recognized as virus as well cause the private servers executable doesn't have the official signature of Nexon but the so called virus detected by your anti virus is not real virus and will not harm you so you can play MapleRoyals without worrying the executable is virus
You can see a huge playbase currently playing this server, if that still doesn’t assure you that the trojan is false positive, idk whT will
