Hey guys, I am trying to download the server on my Mac laptop. I have spend the better part of the day downloading the Mac Client which, now complete says is 2.43 GB.

When I try to open it the first time it told me it may be malicious and so I dismiss it, now it opens up a black window then closes itself.

Does anyone know if I also need to download that setup above the windows client?
Is that also for Mac or was it all included in that Mac client download but something went wrong?

If I remember correctly, there used to be a guide up on how to open it which was also present on the downloads page (not sure why that was taken down).
The mac client download includes all the files you'll need to run the game so, to answer your first and second question: No.

Right click the MapleRoyal file (the mushroom) and an option displaying: "Show Package Contents" should come up along with a long list of other things. Click on "Show Package Contents" and you'll be brought into the MapleRoyals file. You should now see two files (Contents and drive_c) and a program called Wineskin. Double-click Wineskin, and a window should pop up displaying four options: "Install Software, Set Screen Options, Advanced and Quit".
You want to click on "Advanced", a window called wineskin advanced should then pop up in the previous window's place. At the bottom right, you will notice a button called: "Test Run" and your maple window should open up normally and load up to the login screen.

Here are some step-by step pictures:
(You may notice that my client's are called Mapleroyal 1 and Mapleroyal 2 -- Multi-clienting is allowed in this server so I [previously] had my client's named after the usernames of my two different accounts saved on each client. BASICALLY, if your maple client is named something else -- that's fine)

    1. Right Click your client and press the "Show Package Contents" option.

What you should be brought to:

    2. Double click on Wineskin. A "Wineskin" window should pop-up.

    3. Click on "Advanced" and "Wineskin Advanced" should come up.
ALTERNATIVE: Click on set screen options to toggle the option for fullscreen.

    4. Click on "Test Run"

Your wineskin should then say: "a tool is running" at the top left.

    5. Your MapleRoyal client should open up, black-screened and load up to the loading screen.

    Hope this helps.
