I don't believe I have any experience with EA games. Nexon has effectively ruined most of my favorite games (Maplestory, Vindictus, BnB), so my opinion of them is rather low. Maplestory's potential system is proof that Nexon is the king of milking its customers for money. I happily threw several hundred dollars at the game for the sake of vanity up until that point. You are now useless unless you use the cash shop. I'm amazed that people go along with it, when private servers can offer you the same amount of joy.
Most companies milk though, it just depends if you like the milk or not. For example, Capcom has been milking since the early 90s, but I enjoy their fighting games minus a couple. I think in the bigger picture though, EA is worse... However, I will hate Nexon more for ruining a favorite game of mine.
They are as bad as each other really. Maybe EA are worse how they charge you for the game in the first place and then charge you for shit in the game on top. Every company that wants to make major $ but lose faithful players will add micro-transactions. If you follow Boogie2988 on youtube he sums things up pretty well. This is his latest video. I actually think Nexon is worse. EA is more like paytriplethepricethanthebasegame4morecontent rather than pay2win.
Both are up there, and the more opportunities each company tries to monopolise the gamer market, both will have their own ways to release bogus and repetitive copies of their previous respective games or publish overwhelming ways to upset current in game market. However allows us to realise similar minds amongst each of our players of games like Maple and that the games are meant to be played in a certain way, that's why we have our lovely private server community. GMS is a prime example of these actions from Nexon. Nexon pls fix!
I have to say Nexon because they ruined a game that I used to love. I don't play many EA games, but the ones I have played weren't p2w. They might have had annoying microtransactions but I never felt like I had to pay. With current Maplestory, I feel forced to pay if I want to be on the same level as the other players. Not that I would play current Maplestory. The game is utter trash now.
