In old source it took somewhere between 2-3 hits to charge into the bubble giving only 30% stance. In new source it takes somewhere between 60-70 hits on a boss (without mobs) to charge into the bubble at 90% stance for 50 seconds. I personally don't think id be asking for much here but would it be possible to lower the number of hits needed to activate energy charge? Or maybe a longer up time on it for about 3-4 minutes I guess? It comes really in handy for Head C at HT, without it I & other buccaneers find ourselves climbing the ropes a third of the time at HT. Not that it matters but purely for the aesthetics I remember from GMS when prior to energy charge's activation it had a neat animation of energy gathering around the player using it. Would that be possible to add in? Spoiler: looks like this TLDR: Not asking for a damage buff just asking for an easier activation on energy charge. @Andreas Ive been meaning to thank you for reducing the delays on Barrage + DS back to the July patch! Although not the best buff in my opinion it was better then nothing! & also thank you for stopping HT's dispel effecting super trans if that was your work too, its very well appreciated. It took 2-3 hits only to charge the bubble? What? Also yes please make energy charge either last longer or make it quicker to activate
Admins, ever since the change of the cancels has been reverted, the dispel in transform was also reverted. Transformation and Super Transformation is once again getting dispelled like a regular buff. Please fix.
@sounaa Correct! I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended though since back then a lot of bucc skills were buggy. Did it do any harm though? Hell no.
I would have loved to have been a Bucc at a time where you could bubble up in only 2 hits LOL. Is that the legendary OP Bucc bug I've been hearing about? Also @Buccaneer might wanna make a bug report on that
Lmao, surprisingly it came in handy for grinding out 3rd & early 4th job edging out any warrior elixers and giving that juicy +20att boost (max level). You could also hunt HH early on by using the 3rd job move "energy drain" since activating charge wasn't a hassle. Even with a lot of the moves broken & glitchy back then (Energy orb not applying damage, mp recovery not working, slower then normal energy blast, infinite oak barrel & dash) I disregarded all its quirks and enjoyed playing bucc, glad I got to play the class before new source hit. Off topic, but I think your talking about permanent super trans...........the good ol days where you actually had a chance at out dpsing any class that wasn't an NL .
Ah yes that must have been it. Either way whenever I play bucc there is always a thing or two wrong with them. Currently I don't like how transform makes you attack slow af but I don't think they can actually fix that since it's more than likely a client side limitation.
Better late then never. Just bumping this thread to follow up regarding update 50. As i've been bossing a lot lately to experience the changes first hand. Seems like now its about 8 demolition hits to activate stance which is much better then before.
