    Hi all!

So I just decidet to come back to the server(and the game), but I have some problems. I finally got Windows Defender off my back, after 4 reinstalls. Now when I open, the game goes full screens, I see the loading thing(mouse) og a black screen, the game shuts down after a few seconds, and I get this error code. It was not mentioned in the Error Code thread, so I figured i was something else.
I use Windows 8.1, which already sucks, but I don't know if that plays a role. I downloaded the Setup version, since the Client one, Chrome wouldn't allow me to download.

    ~Sincerely

To help with your Google Chrome download issue, follow these steps:

    Got this information from here:

    https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2898334?hl=en

I would recommend re-enabling this after your download is complete.

If this fails on Google Chrome, try using a different web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

After the install, if your still having problems, here is a quote from Matt from a similar thread:

    http://royals.ms/forum/threads/maplestory-error-code-2147024809-the-parameter-is-incorrect.481/

    Hope this helps.

In addition to Matt's post. I use Win 8.1 too, for me it works with Compatibility Win XP SP2. And below choose "run in 640 x 480".

To run in compatibility mode, right click the MapleRoyals.exe file and click properties, then switch to the Compatibility tab.
Check the box for run in compatibility for.. ; And in the drop down select which mode you want. In this case Manezu says WinXP SP2 works.
