SPEC : Windows 10, 64 bit 8GB Ram AMD Graphic card M340. What I have tried : Re-installing windows. Re-installing MapleRoyals. Re-installing Framework, C++, Directx and all my drivers. Updated all my graphic card drivers, Windows is up to date as well. Disabled Anti-virus and firewall. Closed all programs. Running it on VMware gives the same problem. Tried all compatible modes, from Windows 98 to Windows 8. Ticked and unticked all the boxes in MapleRoyals' compatibility mode window in the properties. Downloaded the client Matt linked last Wednesday, still same error. Ran as Administrator. Changed resolution setting of my laptop. Tried all different fresh rates, from 30, to 60. Played a bit with the registry of Maple's resolution, still same error. Installed the folder on drive D, as well as another shot on C. Restarted the laptop a couple of times, tried diff settings in safe mode. Tried to launch Setup.exe and Patcher, nothing helps. Tried sending a proper folder from another PC to my laptop, still same error. Cleaned Registry, re-installed MR. Tried to update non-related drivers. Team-viewered with a GM before, couldn't seem to fix the problem either. Reduced colors to 8bit. Downloaded the client from both Google and Mega drive. I had the same issue today, it was my monitor got bumped down to 59hz instead of 144hz. I'm also having issues getting the window to stretch to fullscreen.
Bump. Seriously. It took me less than five minutes to download, install, and start playing MapleLegends - while this, on the other hand, has taken up hours of my time to try and "troubleshoot" every little possible thing just to fix this one error message. I didn't put in quite as much effort as the poster of this thread did, but I certainly tried my fair share of things to the point where it doesn't even seem worth it anymore. Spoiler: I was hoping to try out MapleRoyals for a while, so I could see what the hype is and why it's listed #1 on GTOP - and wanted to do a decent comparison between Royals & Legends to see which server suited me better. However, it seems I may already have my answer...
Exactly, I found the solution. Updating the graphic cards through Device Manager seemed to fix it for me. When I updated them through their panel, it didn't solve the problem. Device Manager found different driver updates for me than the graphic cards' panels did.
Didn't work for me, unfortunately. I just installed & updated a new graphics card (GTX 1050 Ti SC) about two weeks ago, so I figured my video drivers probably weren't the issue. At some point I may try digging into this even further, but I'm done with it for now. It's likely that for an issue this prevalent, the problem will come back eventually with the same error code or another. Simply not worth the time. Glad you got it working on your end, though. Toodles ~
Dang it I tried everything on this forum and still no fix I just got a new laptop so I figured the antivirus was the problem like the last laptop I had but....no. Nothing works rip. If anyone finds a different solution, plz advice. Es por la tarjeta gráfica seguro. A mi no me da ese error porque tengo tarjeta de video integrada. Por eso en zak o ht nunca necesitaba hacer gfx
