    Hi everyone,
I use a Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card which is known to have compatibility issues with HT. To get around this, I've tried disabling my graphic card and running royals, only to get the error message shown. Would anyone be able to advise? My native processor is an Intel one, so there shouldn't be an issue.

Same issue here. Removing dinput8.dll doesn't help. Windows 10. Could be a Nvidia driver/triple monitor issue as I upgraded those recently.

    EDIT: Downgraded driver, no success.
EDIT 2: I figured out my third, and main, monitor (1440p 144Hz) was causing the issue. MapleStory starts on your main monitor and I found no way around this. I messed around with some settings and what ended up fixing it was switching the frequency in the Nvidia control panel to 60Hz and then back to 144Hz. Launch and it worked!

Just putting this here as a possible solution for people researching how to fix "Error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified Error)" and haven't been able to fix it. Make sure your computer HAS THE OPTION for 800x600 resolution. It doesn't have to be running at that resolution, but it should be an option in your Settings->Display->Resolution options. If it's not, you can add the resolution as a profile depending on your graphics card. For Intel, you can add an 800x600 at 60 fps profile in Intel Graphics Settings (can usually get there by right clicking on your desktop).

I know this is an issue that can happen on a lot of HP laptops, as many of them only go down to 1024x768.

Also, it's called Intel Graphics Control Panel.
