Issue: Upon starting up MRoyals I get the error code 'Error code : -2005530585 (Unknown error 0x88760827) Discription: It doesnt even change the resolution before giving me the error, and im running as administrator.
Go to Properties - Compatibility Tick the "Run in 640 x 480" option. This will solve you the issue but the game will run with screen tearing. Your other option is to not tick this option and just run the games as many time as you need to untill it'll load the game correctly. It doesn't seems the devs are looking into this problem anytime soon.
Only time I have seen this is with a broken installation, disable any antivirus programs/ other security programs then uninstall the game and reinstall.
