I'm sorry if this is an immature post or it offends anybody, but EVERY SINGLE EVENT I SEE IS BASED ON PURE LUCK and it pisses me off. Why no jqs or last man standing or true false? Of course I've only been here for a little while so I could be horribly wrong, in which case I ask you to correct me, but I've participated in 4 events and they all had nothing to do with skill or knowledge. I think that maybe 20% of events should be luck and the rest, skill of some sort. Again, correct me if this is not actually the case, I've only been here 2 days.
Don't have to be so emo about it. Although I do agree on the Russian Roulette thing. It's way too random, and I can't imagine a gm has never moved himself to get more people out of the game.
Idk. It's kinda selfish, because every private server I've played, I've taken pride in winning more than half of the events, because I used to spend hours practicing jq's and everything, and trivia of any sort is my thing (I'm a nerd okay). But I'm sure other people have to feel the same way, because people seem to hate the events I've seen so far.
I haven't participated in a jq yet. Only GM Hide and seek and roulette and all those stupid pointless ones for people that can't win jq's and true false and other skill related events. I'm not one to complain so this is weird for me, idk why I get so pissed about it.
Thanks for your input, first off. People need to make a differentiation between luck based and low-skill requirements. Today, GM Kenny did an event involving chairs and seduce. It was somewhat of a race. Simply put, you use your chair to prevent being seduced backwards. Too many people complained that this was purely luck. No, it isn't. I noticed a good half of the people not even bothering to sit on their chair once. Furthermore, of the people who complained of luck being the whole thing, two of them won. Yes, Russian Roulette is luck based. Yes, Find the GM and Hide and Seek are too. You've been here for two days; that's not enough to say that all we do are these events. We've got a good few events that aren't nearly as luck based, including JQs and Wheel of Fortune. Now, the OP is exempt from this statement since he did post suggestions, but simply complaining about this is NOT acceptable; if you've been watching, we've come out with a few new events over the last few weeks, with varying levels of community reception. If you have ideas for events you think would be fun, we would be extremely thankful if you could make a post describing them, or approach one of us in game about it. If you can't think of any, you have no right to complain that we can't either. Apologies if that came out harshly, but it needed to be said.
Perfectly valid and well-said annie. I'll post 3 more fun events in the same thread tomorrow. And I wasn't complaining about the chair event. Yeah it's 80% luck, but it was fun and creative.
I host JQ's constantly, I decided to try and host a different event today because I am getting sick and tired of hosting RR and JQ's.
