We recently made a change on 8th December specifically to the Winter Dash map to see if it would reduce the amount of crashing issues that players were experiencing during this event. The crashing issues seemed to often occur when players touched a portal that warped them to another location on the map. We are looking for feedback to understand if there has been any decrease in the number of crashes encountered. Please vote on the poll accordingly and feel free to post a reply with more information/detail if you have anything to share. If there has been an improvement, we may look to implement the change to further maps in the game.
I used to dc at winter dash whenever I get teleported Eg: Teleporting back to start of the map at first map of Winter Dash after stepping onto wrong platform. Eg: Going into a portal which would teleport me to the next map. Have not dced at winter dash ever since the change.
Since the fix, I have crashed two times. One was from teleporting in the first stage, and another recently, while I was at the middle of the last stage, someone fell from the ropes and landed in front of me, and everything froze and my client crashed. Can having multiple clients open while doing the dash make it more vulnerable to crashes?
I have yet to DC from the dash so far after this update. I would consistently DC if: 1) My client was open for over 2hrs before entering 2) I had just got out of a boss run that was over 30 minutes (HT/NT) 3) I was using the small client. All of my DCs are always at the start when a lot of players teleport, the same can be said for other GM events. Unsure how helpful any of that is but it's what I've experienced. Appreciate the effort to fix it though
I never DC'ed before but after whatever hotfix was implemented. I DC'ed after and only once so far and saw someone DC in front of me. Both were in the same area, on the ropes right next to the ending portal. I was jumping to the last rope and screen froze then poof. The other time the person just froze on the rope and poof.

Bump! Still looking for feedback from anyone who had done the Winter Dash at the beginning of the Christmas event, comparing it to how it is now in regards to any crashing issues.
Actually, I am crashing now. Crashed 2 times already since the changes. Once at the very begining and once towards the end (about 10 seconds before reaching ropes.) That second time it was only me as I had pmed a friend next to me. Note none of these crashes occurred from me going through a portal. Could be anectodal, but I think I'm seeing a lot more individual crashing now as opposed to the entire map crashing (gather from my BL chat and friends), but please take that with a grain of salt. Edit: I crashed another time by just afking in the beginning.
