Solved [Solution Given] Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D.. what?

    Hopefully someone reads and finds a solution to my problem today.. Really was looking to play!..

    Hi I'm new! already made this threat in the hi and goodbyes.
    However, I'm trying to play and when I launch the game, I get a

    "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D" .. don't know what this is or how to fix it.. someone please help :X ~f4

    So apperantly it's a video related error? -_- like somethings wrong with my 300$ video card lol. Runs every game i've played on max settings.. what? o-O confused..
    My card is up to date aswell.. nothing wrong with it..

    my graphic card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645

    Run Setup.exe in the maplestory folder and try again.

    oh wait the setup.exe I did run it, to fix the game? But when i click repair or modify or uninstall.. it doesn't fix it.. same error

    No, in the maplestory folder where it was installed, you will find a setup.exe file. That one.

    My folder does not contain one.. did it not download properly? o-O..

    I found this by googling "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D"

    - Make sure you have the latest DirectX version installed.
    - Update your video drivers
    - Run Setup in your MapleStory folder.
    - Try reinstalling Maple after doing all that in case it still doesn't work.

    I've done most except run setup in the maplestory folder.. My folder came without the setup...

    So I downloaded the setup.exe, put it in the maplestory folder and ran it, nothing pops up for it...

    Do you have a file called Gr2D_DX8.dll in your maplestory folder?

    Yes, I have a file called Gr2D_DX8.dll 248KB is the file size.

    You could try downloading http://royals.ms/downloads/MSSetupv62.exe which will have the proper Setup.exe inside it and get the new map.wz from the announcements forum. Sorry about all this. I don't know what else to suggest.

    Sigh, sadly it did not work.. I get the same error from the maplestory setup "unable to gather up your system information.
    Please check if you have DirectX 8.1 or higher installed, and then try it again."

    So I figured it out. This game doesn't like the fact I have multiple monitors.. I unplugged all except my main one, now the game works >_>.

    Hello, i'm also getting this error :( i updated my video drivers, I have the latest Directx installed, ran the Setup (again)...even re-installed it! idk what to do :/
