Problem: cannot get past character selection
Details: channel selection works perfectly fine, but once I click on the character, input the PIC and click OK, the client freezes for 2 seconds before closing without any error code. Have tried reinstalling the game and logging on with different characters and different accounts but all with the same problem. Grateful if my issue could be looked into. Thanks.

Was this ever resolved or does it still happen?

When you reinstalled the game, did you first uninstall the previous version and download a fresh setup file?

Alright in that case, I advise disabling unnecessary network adapters by following these steps:

    1) Click the Start button
    2) Open your Control Panel
    3) Open Network Connections
    4) In the search box, type adapter
    5) Under Network and Sharing Center click "View network connections"
    6) Right click on any unused adapters, and click Disable
    7) Now try logging in again

Do check back with us if you're still running into problems connecting.

My bad. Didn’t mention that im running on parallels if that is relevant. My only adapter is one of ethernet as it shows in the windows network and sharing centre, although strangely i have been using wifi connection all the time.

Then I also tried connecting to my mobile phone personal hotspot, only to experience disconnection after PIC as usual.

Apologies for your time, but any other possible fix you could think of is much appreciated.
