(Basing this feedback post from the banning of JaeYoung in response to iClown's thread.)

In my honest opinion, JaeYoung should not have been banned.

From what I see, JaeYoung is a troll. He is an intelligent person who knows how to slightly agitate people and keep them on the hook to "play around" with.
(okay, he did say some mean things during his troll he shouldn't of and it would be fair to punish him for that)

But looking at the screenshots CIaw posted. Not once did he reply to JaeYoung in a form that attempts to express him being hurt or harassed by what JaeYoung was saying. Instead, it seems he decided to "play along" with JaeYoung and keep himself on the hook.

If CIaw did not like what JaeYoung was saying, he could have simply Blacklisted JaeYoung to no longer receive messages from him. For this is what this feature was created for.

If CIaw felt offended/harassed/hurt by what JaeYoung, he should have clearly expressed that in a reply to JaeYoung instead of just following along with JaeYoung's game.

I don't know if intentional or not, but that spelling of your (you're) just helped CIaw stay on the hook and give JaeYoung a reason to continue his troll.

Looking back at iClown's forum post in the thread "Report JaeYoung for harassment and abuse"

First of all I would like to say, I was uninterested in buying JaeYoung's Skanda for 100m, in MY opinion, it was a rip off. I could care less what others think, that was my opinion, I don't care about FM prices, I don't care what his friends say, I don't care how cool this boy is.

He then began telling me how I was butthurt and scraping at anything he could to make fun of me? "hahahaha you spelled your ign ciaw." blah blah blah

    Character name: Claw (Ciaw)
Name of Character I'm Reporting: JaeYoung
    Offence Committed: Harassment
    Details:
    First off Screens

The last two screens are of him defaming my character after I logged in for the second time today. Honestly overall all I said was I didn't want his claw. Forgive me for thinking he was girl, I didn't know I just assumed never seen the char before. All I'm saying is if he'll go to extreme lengths to just keep talking and talking because I'm uninterested in his claw then I'm not the one that's butthurt. I am aware I spelled Ciaw, but that doesn't count as me misspelling, I misspelled it on purpose, because hmmm I wonder why? Maybe Claw was taken already.

Put this boy in prison please

NOT ONCE did he anywhere write that he felt hurt by what JaeYoung said or harassed (aside from the word harassed in the title). During the whole post, iClown remained neutral about the situation. From this it seems like perhaps he only wanted to have JaeYoung banned to show that he "won" the conversation battle/conflict and rather than due to being hurt & harassed by the things JaeYoung said to him. The last line "Put this boy in prison please" smells a bit of sarcasm does it not? If someone is hurt and they put in a report, they will usually end a post with a thank you to show that they will be very thankful if someone stands up for them and deals with a bully. In this case, the last line ended the report with a feeling that it was in-fact a joke.

I ask that staff members take into consideration to analyze reports more thoroughly to see if the reporter had displayed signs of being hurt to the reported player and if the reported player did in fact continue to follow in what he/she was doing that was hurting the reporter. This way, it will minimize reports where a player gets banned and the reporter walks away laughing behind everyone's back.

Thank you for reading this feedback report,

So remember everyone, if you'd like the person who is doing wrong to be banned for their wrong-doing, just make sure you sound hurt while telling on them.

I read the report thoroughly, considered everything, and still conclude that JaeYoung's actions are harassment. I saw no evidence of CIaw deliberately "playing along" - JaeYoung was trying to wind him up and succeeded. That is not, and will never be, the same as "playing along". "Falling into a trap", maybe, but that's hardly the same as deliberately encouraging someone. CIaw's responses look entirely normal to me. From what I've read so far, JaeYoung has behaved like a troll and a bully and is acting like it's all a game, so I see absolutely no reason to lift his ban nor to show lenience to other players who behave similarly.
