Fire/poison mage guides?

I've been searching for poison-based guides, because my partner and I want to train together and he thinks a poison mage would be more fun for him and his play style.

But I can't find any guides for pre-bb that focus on poison brace and such. And it's been forever since I played a mage- when should he cap his luk/stop putting into it? We're new to the server, so I'm only going low -dex on my sin and he's going regular luk (especially because he's never played a mage before)

Any help would be appreciated <3

 

For poison you basically swap Fire Arrow for Poison Brace and do everything else the same.

 

Okay, after a lot of searching I've found a guide for skills... But not for places to train at. Where is a good place for poison training before Death teddies? After 50, when CPQ is done. Just some ideas would be nice, we'll scope out the maps and such ourselves too - thinking of checking out Ludi and El nath and seeing what those maps are like.

 

I think I OPQ'd until 55-57, and then I did DTs until 78, I don't remember after but I've been at skeles since 87 (Now 94)

 

I trained 1-30 on Vic (KPQ 21-30), CPQ 30-50, then trained with Fire Arrow and poison brace at Jr. Selkies from 51-80. Then DTs, WS, Squids until 87, then Skeles 87-120.

 

How fast was DTs at 57? My wife is currently 55 and is having no luck training there due to consistently missing. Is there anything to do about magic accuracy (or a way to increase it)?

Isn't OPQ suuuper buggy right at the disc stage? I heard it will never play it. I'm stuck at 51 currently on my fp.
