Hi, I was just wondering why our forum doesn't work like this when making threads.

In some forums when you press colors it doesn't add the (I assume) HTML coding, it makes it e.g. green when you just press green without the ''[.COLOR="Lime"][/COLOR.]'' This works for everything like placing it in center etc.. It's just a lot easier.

If it's too expensive to make such a forum, I'll be glad to contribute a little more.

There is a so-called WYSIWYG editor (short for What You See Is What You Get), see below, which you may enable at the bottom of user options.

Unfortunately, the WYSIWYG editor in vBulletin 3 does not appear to be supported by Google Chrome.

Edit: Scratch that; after some tinkering I appear to have made it work in Chrome.

Hmm then why is it possible on other forums @ Google Chrome?

Because they likely don't use vBulletin 3.

Sorry to ask for the obvious. I kinda meant, why aren't we upgrading?

I don't know. It hasn't been perceived as an issue to my knowledge.

Having said that, I'm happy to announce that I managed to get the WYSIWYG editor working in Google Chrome; I'd appreciate feedback to the contrary.

WYSIWYG has worked in chrome for me all the time. I can't think of any reason to upgrade vBulletin really.

Currently using Safari and it works here too:

Have the others enabled the WYSIWYG editor in user options like Chok advised?

Your account is currently set to 'Show Standard Editor Toolbar' rather than 'Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar' which is why you wouldn't be able to see it at the moment.

Ahh I see how it is, I changed it. I just find it odd that it isn't like this automatically.
