Found a bug involving the shop and the inventory

I went into my merchant shop because I wanted to organize it, I pulled my Deputy Star out of the shop but I had a full inventory.
By the time I realized that, it was already too late and instead of telling me that my inventory was full, the item just disappeared.

Just wondering: Is there any chance I can get another Deputy Star?
