Am I the only one that thinks these new Item SMegas that appear when someone uses Gachapon are annoying? I think its mainly the bright color, where as before they were transparent and not brightly colored. Not a big deal, just an opinion. Thoughts? EDIT: Maybe there could be a way to toggle these notifications off? I'm fairly certain most people don't care to know what random items others are winning from Gachapon.
Might be nice to have these separate and purchasable from the cash shop for it to be a one-use consumable to spotlight and show off an item in a player's inventory.
I think they are something you can get used to, but now that they show Chaos and White scrolls, a lot of people are going to get harassed.
I wouldn't be opposed to adding it to the ~togglesmegas command. But also, in the past the notice did announce when people won Chaos and White scrolls so this item SMEGA would be nothing new except for the fact that it's a SMEGA and not just a notice.
You are talking about pre-wipe here. Post-wipe it has never announced them. (I think the reasoning was, because people would get pissed off when gacha runs got 2-5 white scrolls i.e. Toyota)
Ah, I probably was thinking pre-wipe. I recently got a WS on my legit and thought it announced it via a notice but now that I'm rethinking, I think it was just the "You gained an item (White Scroll)" message.
Negatives Gacha item smegas are annoying cause of the whispers. It is bad enough that there is people who camp near the shrine gacha and then bug people they see gacha'ing. This is in particular a problem with chaos/ white scrolls, which some people just get silly about. When one wants to just sneak on quietly, do their gacha run, and sneak off without being bugged, a gacha item smega can ruin it. Spam. Who else is sick of all the smegas of that ugly untradeable junk chair that comes from shrine? I can't even remember its name. Positives If the person wants to sell the item, then they got a free smega of it. Encouraging people to gach Boosting the person's ego Weighing it up I think the negatives outweigh the positives. The annoyance to the person who is trying to gach peacefully far out weighs the benefit of free advertising and encouraging people to gach. Free advertising isn't really necessary because we have easy to obtain smegas that don't even cost NX, and we have cheap mushroom shops you only have to pay for once for the price that you would have paid for just a week or 2 in GMS. Encouraging people to gach is the primary reason this feature existed in GMS. Nexon wanted to make money by encouraging people to buy and spend NX. Here, NX is obtained via the voting system which is a fixed amount per day. It just isn't a relevant issue. So, can we just ditch this feature altogether? Or have an option for people to both opt out of seeing the messages, AND to opt out of having their own items broadcasted? I have never liked it, even before white scrolls and chaos scrolls were apparently added to it. Those who do like it can continue to enjoy having their items broadcasted to those who want to see it, and to continue seeing items broadcasted from those who don't mind others seeing what they got. (Although in saying that, it is how I met Sivir, as when she was new she whispered when I got a chair, which I of course just gave to such a lovely person <3 <3 <3 )
Chairs have been removed from the messages however some other items like Sky Ski's, elemental staves & white scrolls have been added. And the person doing the gachapon run could always turn off their whispers if they do not want to get messaged about something they have obtained? Keep giving feedback though, please.
I personally think White Scrolls and Chaos Scrolls should be removed, my reasons are on line with why they were removed after the wipe.
I personally love the addition I usually don't try and buy the item but I like to see the items people get
When I was on my GM ingame today, I really, really wanted to be able to turn them off with the ~togglesmegas command, because they're lurid, distracting, and pull attention away from more important issues like ~gm messages and the info I was pulling up to try and help solve a player issue. I'd like to have "~togglesmegas" and "~toggleitemsmegas" as separate options so I can still keep an eye on regular smegas for inappropriate stuff most of the time. (I occasionally have to toggle regular smegas off to be able to get anything done, too, but I can't see any possible need for reading item smegas while on my GM.)
Also any possibility that they could be released as a cash shop item for 1k-3k each? It would be a pretty cool feature.
