I have downloaded the game on my Mac Air with OSX Mavericks and i end up with a .zip folder on my desktop and a MapleRoyals icon. I press show package contents on the maple royals icon and wineskin shows up but I cannot install the software. When I double click on the MapleRoyals icon to start the game, a window pops up saying that "we are unable to connect to the server check, a firewall block or network issues." I have revised my firewall settings and uninstalled everything and tried again but the game still wont work. I have been at this for a few hours now and its still the same thing.... Someone please help.
No need to hit show package contents. All you need to do is click on that icon and the game will start. I have everything configured right out of the box.
I also tried that but game still says that I can not connect to the server or I have firewall issues or a problem with my network connection. My internet connection is fine and I have already revised my firewall to allow access to any application. A black screen pops up like the game will start and it stays black and then the help window pops up and says it wont work.
Just downloaded the game again and didnt open "show package contents" and I just double clicked on the MapleRoyals icon and it still does not work... This is becoming very frustrating..
You say the black screen comes up, this means that the client successfully connected to the world server. Do any of the Wizet/Nexon logos appear before you get the error message?
