Ghost Ship Party Quest was my favourite party quest in GMS. It is awesome for people who love to compete in teams. Now let me explain what exactly the team-based GSPQ is. Spoiler: GSPQ Video The PQ is basically killing monsters in 5 stages as quick as you can then you have to kill the Boss faster than the other team (It is very similiar to CPQ - Whoever kills the boss first, wins). It's a good idea to complete the Strategy Rooms as quickly as you can, as the fastest team that does so will net a -5% handicap from the Boss' HP. I understand that we already have LMPQ 50-71 and that Staff is already busy with the new source but I don't think this content would be in any way bad and would harm the nostalgia of the server. It also encourages team work and has a great BGM . Spoiler: Ghost Ship PQ's BGM Maybe an addition to the new source at a later date? Opinions from both Staff and players ?
Your IMGs are broken btw. Also, didn't this come out much later? Imo, and I played after BB as well, it doesn't fall under the "nostalgic" moniker. But to others it may, that's just my opinion.
Oh I'll edit it in a bit. I don't think its the new content that ruins the gameplay and that people don't like about post-BB servers because of it but more because the awful miracle cubes and pay2win aspect. If a server doesn't get (and I'm not saying that it isn't) updated every now and then, people get bored. New stuff such as this PQ are always nice for me.
Like I said, not nostalgic for me, it's different for everybody. Potential, cubes, hammers, p2w aren't the only reasons people don't like post bb either, as you suggest. It could be anything depending on the person. Also, try putting a poll in. I think that would help you gauge interest better.
I think one of most important things that a game could deliver is diversity. Assuming the new source will fix Pirate Party Quest we're looking at 3 main PQ's for level 51~100. And also, at some point in the future we'll ran out of content, and that's when content like this needs to be at least considered. There are hardly any new mobs introduced here, and most of them are spawning at a very popular training maps right now. I encourage this, it should be a thing. And also it was released before Ulu got released and we have Ulu right now... I can see people quoting me and saying that it can be said on the potential system as well but to be honest it's hardly the same. So yeah +1
I think it seems really cool. It has many familiar foes as well as being a fun way for you to get through the beginning of 3rd job.
I was against Ulu when it first came out too. That's in no way "nostalgic" to me. Imo MAGATIA COMES BEFORE EVERYTHING AND BETTER BE IN NEW SOURCE OR REVOLT! (Magatia came out in v63, no reason to have Ulu or ToT before it imo.)
Looks like a really fun PQ. Throw in an interesting reward and this could be a great addition. Of course, you'll need to either nerf the HP on those guys or increase the level cap, but this isn't something game breaking from what I've seen.
I remember when mechanics took over this pq and made NLS garbage .-. Id love to see this pq in a simple v62 server!
I loved this pq!! I remember always sucking at it for some reason though...Anyway, I'm all for additional pqs, it's how I make friends and it makes the game more interesting instead of just grinding. Oh, and I think any additional pqs should give about the same exp as you would get per hour (or whatever) as the other pqs around the same level or else everyone would just go to the better pq.
