Originally we've only had access to Ola Ola, Fitness, Coconut Harvest, Snowball and OX quiz. So over the years we started to experiment with creating our own. While we do have some limitations with the game and what we can reasonably create, we enjoy brainstorming Event ideas and sometimes inventing new mechanics to make them feel fun and refreshing!

This is just a quick guide going over the basics of our various GM Events, so that way everybody can get a summarized version of the rules explaining each Event. :)

    fitness.png
    Fitness

    Difficulty: Moderate JQ
Nobody really knows why this physical fitness test exists down in Sleepywood.. The Mysterious Statue seems to be the origin of it's creation somehow, though.

Fitness is one of the original GM Events GMS had back in the day. We've since re-skinned multiple variations of this Event to match the seasonal Events we host throughout the years.

The goal of this Event is to traverse through a Medium level difficulty JQ across 3 levels.

There are some useful tricks that can be used to speed up your momentum.
One of those tricks is jumping into a moving projectile on purpose and using the bounce back to grab the rope again, being immune for a couple of seconds to avoid any more incoming hits as you move up the rope.

This is a very useful trick to learn because in some of the newer JQs we've added this mechanic as a requirement to be able to pass through difficult sections.

    Notes:
Most people usually complete this obstacle course, but some people tend to get left behind.

You will have 15 minutes to complete this challenge.

    rising-tides.png
    Rising Tides

    Difficulty: Moderate JQ
    (Easy if you're confident)
Uh oh! Olaf got sidetracked and was too busy flexing his muscles for a group of nearby beach goers, and lost track of time while showing the new Beginners around. Now the tide's coming in and it's coming in fast! Time to scramble back to Lith Harbor on your own. Better get moving!

Rising Tides is a unique JQ themed around Lith Harbor. The water will start to rise at a somewhat rapid pace 30 seconds after entering the map.

We've recently revamped it and removed the small chokepoint at the very beginning, and added multiple pathways for players to reach the top.

This Event does require some exposure to it a few times to memorize the paths and patterns to have a better chance at survival. The accidental chokepoint the original version had is no longer there.

    Notes:
Most people usually complete this obstacle course, but a good handful of people tend to get yoinked by the wave.

You will have 5 minutes to complete the challenge, or get swept away by the waves and have Vikin come fish you out of the sea!

    salty-sands.png
    Salty Sands

    Difficulty: HARD JQ
Salty Sands earned its name by the salty tears players cry when they get hardstuck in this difficult JQ. We've since revamped some of the hard points and increased the difficulty the further up you go to make up for it-- but only real OGs will remember the absolute agony the original Salty Sands was.

This is a fairly difficult and slightly frustrating JQ based around Florina Beach. You will have to make some calculated jumps and commit to whichever path you choose.

The sandy wooden tiles have a longer radius for walking, so you can walk further than you think. There's a lot of pixel perfect jumps in this Event, including a pixel perfect jump towards a small rope near the top.

    Notes:
Not many people finish this challenge; to put it bluntly.
Only sign up for this Event if you enjoy pain, or are particularly good at JQs in general.

You have 20 minutes to complete this challenge.

    water race.png
    Water Race

    Difficulty: Moderate JQ
Black Bark's hosting the annual Nautilus obstacle course for every Pirate near and far. Pirates gather when the tide is low, and compete against one another to show off their skills they've learned while travelling around the Maple World to impress Kyrin.

Water Race is a brand new JQ Event themed around Nautilus that we've added to the 2025 Summer patch!

The objective is to traverse the obstacle course to get to the other side. There are two pathways you can choose, and each of them offers their own difficulty and unique way to reach the finish line. Good luck!

    Notes:
Most people usually complete this obstacle course, but some people tend to get left behind due to the crowd clutter. Spread out, and remember you can go up or down at the barrel checkpoints.

You will have 5 minutes to complete this challenge.

Note: The Events that are not listed are currently broken, or not in use/rarely used/reskins of current JQ quests in-game.

    4square.png
    4Square

    Difficulty: None
4Square is an Event based on OX Quiz and Russian Roulette. There's nothing too special about this Event, it's just 4 giant boxes floating in the sky with numbered FM portals.

The objective is to go through a portal with the corresponding number to send you to one of four numbered Box-shaped platforms.

The GMs will put up a timer and you have to make your way into a box, because once the timer runs out everybody will be stunned and if you are not inside a box you will be removed.

GM's have a dice they can roll that will randomize the platform selection, and if you get caught you're out!

    Notes:
There is no time limit for this Event, it depends on RNG and how many people are participating.

    zombies.png
    Ahhh! Zombies!

    Difficulty: Hard
Olivia was wandering throughout the numerous hallways inside the Haunted Mansion, and discovered something she shouldn't have.
The animated remains of all of the previous housekeepers...
And now they're heading towards NLC!

Ahhh! Zombies! is a GM Event based on the Haunted Mansion and is Halloween themed.

The objective is to avoid getting touched by the Zombies because they will kill you and send you to the exit.
There are 2 pathways to escape the quicker Zombies, so don't forget you can jump down and hide in the ditch when a quick Miner Zombie comes at you. He's got a yellow hard hat on so be on the look out and scramble to safety!

    Notes:
This Event usually kills around 50% of the people participating in it. If you are prone to severe lag it might be better to sit this one out and wait for another Event instead.

You will have 5 minutes to complete this challenge.

    coconut-harvest.png
    Coconut Harvest

    Difficulty: Easy
Every year Florina Beach hosts a contest to see who can gather the most coconuts for their annual drink festivities. Harry's in charge of delivering them to his brother Valen for his drink stand, but the local residents of Florina Beach and Valen haven't seen him in years... Ever since King Clang arrived...

Coconut Harvest is an original GMS team based GM Event where players get sorted via Red or Blue teams.

The objective is to knock down coconuts, and the team with the most wins!
Sometimes the coconuts are fake and will not fall down, so keep that in mind next time you're whacking away at a tree for 2 minutes wondering why it hasn't fallen down yet.

    Notes:
Only one team can be the winner, so don't give up and keep going!

You will have 3 minutes and 50 seconds to knock down as many coconuts as you can for your team.

    crane-climb.png
    Crane Climb

    Difficulty: Easy
Nella's been fed up lately with the construction over at Sunset Sky. Instead of complaining about the lack of courtesy for the other Kerning City citizens to the Dark Lord, she's decided to take matters into her own hands by recruiting a bunch of Rouges to disrupt their process instead.

Crane Climb is an OSHA violation GM Event with a Kerning City theme.

The goal for this Event is to climb to the top and dodge the moving throwing stars along the way.

    Notes:
It's a pretty easy Event and usually everybody will make it to the end.

You will have about 5 minutes to complete the course!

    fish-parade.png
    Fish Parade

    Difficulty: Easy
    (Moderate if you get unlucky)
Kenta's ocean exhibit has escaped and now they are on the loose, parading throughout the city. It seems like these slippery fish are agitated about something and might take their anger out on Explorers passing through... Hopefully Kenta can round them up before anybody gets hurt.

Fish Parade is an Aquarium themed GM Event using the deep blue ocean color.

The goal of this Event is to watch out of the various fish mobs that will immediately lock on to the nearest person, and swim towards you!

If you get touched by one of them they will send you back to the beginning.
If you are ranged you can damage the fish and knock them back for a split second.

    Notes:
It's a somewhat easy Event if you are good at navigating your way with the swimming mechanic, and usually everybody will make it to the end.

You will have 15 minutes to complete this challenge.

    ola-ola.png
    Ola Ola

    Difficulty: Easy
The fairies of Ellinia forest have decided to prank unsuspecting Explorers by removing their jumping abilities, and forcing them to traverse through several portals that may or may not lead them to wherever it is they want to go.

Ola Ola is one of the original GMS GM Events, and is usually reskinned to fit seasonal Events just like Fitness.

The objective of this Event is to find the correct portal across 3 levels without jumping. Some of the portals are fake, some of them take you back to the start of the level, and others will warp you to another portal.

All Ola Ola portals are randomized upon hosting the Event. GMs will not know the correct portal, so it's best to work together to find the correct portal or break away from the crowd and try to find it yourself!

    Notes:
It's a pretty easy Event and usually everybody will make it to the end.

You will have 5 minutes to complete this challenge.

    russian-roulette.png
    Russian Roulette

    Difficulty: None
Russian Roulette is a GM Event where players can win GM Event NX or GM Event chairs.

Due to the recent changes with GM commands, GMs are no longer able to create prizes to host this Event so we will need to coordinate with an Admin prior to hosting to receive the prizes, or maybe one of them might tag along!

The goal of this Event is to stay on one of the 9 Amoria themed platforms before the timer runs out, and then one of the GMs will stun everyone.
If you are not standing on the main platform you are unfortunately disqualified, and will be removed from the Event.
The GMs will use the GM Dice to randomly select a platform and that platform that gets selected will be out and warped to the exit.

    Notes:
There is no time limit for this Event, it's based on RNG. At this current time GMs are not allowed to create prizes so they will have to coordinate with an Admin in order to host this Event.

    sea-gorge-maze.png
    Sea Gorge Maze

    Difficulty: Hard
Sea Gorge Maze-- similar to Salty Sands, this Event will surely trigger some players by merely uttering its name alone. You'll be pleased to know that we have revamped Sea Gorge Maze and made it more player-friendly instead by adding easier maps.
Because we've made it easier-- we changed the original 5 lives and 30 minutes into something more balanced.

The new and improved Sea Gorge Maze will now have a randomized map upon creating the Event similar to the Ola Ola portals, so it will be a surprise on which version of the map we will get.

Navigate your way through the maze of Bloody Booms, and maybe you'll get a chance at scoring some nice treasure that sunk down to the sea floor.

    Notes:
This Event usually kills around 50% of the people participating in it. If you are prone to severe lag it might be better to sit this one out and wait for another Event instead.

You will have 3 lives, and 10 minutes to complete this challenge.

    seahorse-race.png
    Seahorse Race

    Difficulty: Moderate
When the water's warm enough Kenta and Muse will host the Aquarium's Seahorse Race where Explorers can sign up and swim with the Cicos and Seacles.
They are usually docile creatures; but when there's a race happening they sure do get excited and move quick! They'll bulldoze anybody in their way and knock them out cold.

Seahorse Race is an Aqua Road themed GM Event using the yellow/green ocean color.

The goal of this Event is to watch out for the Cicos and Seacles swimming around. Some of them move super slow, while others are super fast so make sure you're swimming in all directions for a better chance at survival!
You better get out of their way, because they'll run you over and knock you out-- sending you to the exit.

You will have about 20 seconds before a very fast Cico comes along and wipes you out from the spawn point.

    Notes:
This Event usually kills around 30-40% of the people participating in it. If you are prone to severe lag it might be better to sit this one out and wait for another Event instead.

You will have 5 minutes to complete this challenge.

    tree-trunk.png
    Tree Trunk

    Difficulty: Moderate

(Easy if you get lucky portal RNG)
Rowen and Arwen discovered a new section of the magical forest near The Tree That Grew, and are eager to recruit Magicians to go explore it and see what secrets it may hold. Don't tell Grendel!

This is a brand new GM Event based on Ellinia added during the 2025 Summer patch!

The objective of this Event is to find the correct tree portal to get to the top. It's similar to Ola Ola in terms of the randomized portals. However, we've added a little bit of a twist to keep you on your toes towards the very end!

During stage 2, press up on every tree hole you see and don't wait for others to go through it, because if it's correct they'll get taken to the next stage or get taken all the way down to the bottom of the map and won't have any way to let others know. You will have to rely on yourself in order to get through stage 2, or rely on your guild/buddy chat to communicate where the correct tree hole is.

Only 1 out of 5 tree holes will work at random.

    Notes:
It's a pretty easy Event and usually everybody will make it to the end depending on the randomized portal RNG.

You will have 10 minutes to complete this challenge!

Note: The Events that are not listed are currently broken, or not in use/rarely used/reskins of current JQ quests in-game.

    Thank you for the guide.
Could you guys start giving out more winner's podium effects though?
It feels like those aren't as common as before and I really need one to finish one of my character's aesthetic

Unfortunately that's something we can't do anymore because GMs are no longer allowed to create items. :'(

Edit: We'd love to get back into giving out GM prizes, but as of November 2024 GM accounts are unable to spawn in items to give out said prizes at this current moment.

I really don't want to turn this into a Q&A ^_^' as the original intention of creating this guide is to help players understand what each Event does, and if it's worth their time attending.
Many people ask questions during the 3 minute window, so it's a bit difficult to answer everyone in a timely manner especially if they join right before we start.

Omg... so no more winner's podiums?? ~f4
If that's the case, maybe you could make them tradeable again?
From what I've read, they were made untradeable a while back because they were meant to be exclusive for winners.
But now that we have working item tags again, maybe that change can be reverted?

I hope Perion, Orbis, and Ludi get some love <3

Really loving all the effort the team has put in on making the GM events so special.

I still would love to see some things like Janus Swords, Peter Pan Hats, Ice Flowers, etc trickle in.

Has there been any thought about having them biweekly or something in addition to the random nature?
