Just some fyi My first mage was an IL, also the first char.. i know all knowledge about bish and il but not too much on fp. atm i am only lv 18 but id like to know what i will be.. i was favoring bish but everyones a bishop so idk.. which should i go for?
Just make what you enjoy really. Bishops are pretty painful up to 4th job so if you're just looking for some quick fun I'd probably make a mage. Also the genesis mastery books are quite expensive atm.
I have a bishop and I only made it for funding purposes which kinda didn't happen anyways my main goal is my I/l I made though. My plan is to HS my I/L to 200.
I'd go for F/P with HS mule. Least common of the three and the wand is the most common and gives int rather than luk. Elquines freezes which makes their summon the best and since your goal is to 1hko everything, the lack of freeze effect from your ulti won't really matter in the end.
This. They also have cheaper ult 30 books and they train faster in 3rd job. Bishops are more efficient for selling leech though. Bishops also go on boss runs, and mages don't, as a general rule.
I'd give my opinion as an FP user myself I love the relative obscurity of FPs, their cheaper skillbooks, and the fact we fly through 3rd job (through misting at high level mobs) and 4th job somewhat (hard hitting Meteor). Only con I've faced is probably just a tougher transition through 2nd job when you can't mob at all, but that's not too bad anyway. TLDR: FPs are mad fun
Bishop shouldn't be outta the questions already. If you aren't considering 3rd job training, it's quite a wash when it comes to 4th job training. It's more or less the same. Don't let picking a class come down to be unique because that usually doesn't last long in the long run. Fire/Poison: 3rd job training is very easy and doesn't rely on Magic/Int. Books are much cheaper (MS 30 is around 500-600m), but their ultimate skill doesn't freeze like I/Ls do and many high level mobs aren't weak to Fire like Bishops do with Skeles or I/Ls do with end map Oblivion mobs in ToT. Ice/Lightning: 3rd job training can be very easy, but Int matters a lot because that is your accuracy. Books are pretty expensive because I/Ls are more common, but at a certain point, 1b is nothing for your best skill. Freezing helps a lot on mobs that you aren't going to be able to two shot and end game mobs in Oblivion ToT are weak to Ice which can lead to the best XP rates in game. Bishop: 3rd job training is boring. Most Priests resort to leeching the final levels of Priesthood and at this time, a lot of players are weeded out. Being a Bishop, you have more access to useful skills like Holy Symbol and Mystic Door. Both of these skills makes leeching and grinding the most convenient among all the mages. However, books are extremely expensive and Bishops do the least amount of damage among all Mages. With that being said, I'm partial to Fire/Poison IF you can dual/triple client and Bishop if you would like to just solo grind or go for a level 200 while making money.
i think i am gonna end up using even more mesos for skill mastery books than saving up the money by spamming heal rather than pots
That's usually the case. Potion money isn't an issue in this server because of the drop rates of everything and you can easily make all the money back by NPCing equipment.
What lead you to that decision? You haven't been very specific in your questioning so most of us are just giving out personal opinion. If you're firm on Ice/Lightning, I have a guide that might be helpful to you.
I'm aware that this thread is a little old, but what difference does wanting a corsair/bm as your next character make in choosing between bish and an il/fp mage?
