There are rumors a D2 Remaster will be announced this upcoming Blizzcon. Any Diehard D2 LoD fans here?
Played before Diablo II - Lord of Destruction Enjoyed Necromancer the most Just waiting to see how the preview of D2 Remaster is like lol
Apparently there was an advertisement spotted in a german gaming magazine called "GameStar" (which i know of and is quite reputable) with a D2,D3 and D4 Artbook which will release on November 3rd and is available for pre-order on Amazon already. Honestly, i couldn't care cess for Diablo 4 if it has no runewords and no depth of game mechanics and complexity like D2 LoD had... I guess we'll know soon enough, right?
Thinking why Diablo II would be hard to bring to modern PC, our RAM and graphics too high for it? lol Source: https://www.tweaktown.com/news/6827...tered-way-reveal-set-blizzcon-2019/index.html
The shedule has been revealed and the unspecified brackets are probably new announcements. Both the opening ceremony and the unspecified spaces are available to watch for free on Twitch / Youtube etc. without having to buy a virtual ticket for the blizzcon. https://blizzcon.com/en-gb/schedule
I'll be honest. The Trailer/s look incredible and captures D1 & D2's soul D4 has elements of D2 LoD but still feels like D3 gameplay wise and hearing some of the devs talk about the game only strengthens that believe that they never really gotten into D2 LoD to understand how to make D4 a successful game. It'll most likely be a failure (again). Dear Blizzard, get David Brevik, Max and Erich Schäfer on board and let them direct the game... Crit mulipliers? Please. No attribute stats? What? Dumbed down affixes because people nowadays can't distingiush between 10% more dmg and 1000 (absolute) dmg? No Tetris inventory? No inventory charms because people can't decide themselves whether they want dmg or magic find in their inventory or a mixture in between? Diablo Games are meant to be complex, challenging and leave freedom of choice to the player. Legendary (and only Legendary) items being endgame? Please when someone drops a rare circlet or gloves or even blue ones it can be endgame too. Jmod, 6/40 Javelins.. and so on. And my god, runewords? Those are not runewords. 1 condition rune and 1 effect rune. Awesome, not. In some Interview with a dev i heard "we don't want to lose character identity, so items won't have too other classes spells / auras". Those other classes affixes is what made made people come up with melee zealot sorc builds and whatnot. Where's the faster cast rate, faster hit recovery, attack rating, block rating, min max dmg and attack speed? Where are the jewels? Rainbowfacets, Gems? Oh wait, there is no use for fcr, we have cooldowns on skills after all (??????). It has a reason D2 is being played to this date, just copypasta 99% of the game mechanics, new story, make it dark and gross and it's a done deal. Looks like we'll get some casual retard friendly D4. The only hope that comes along is that the devs are trying to communicate with the actual community and see what they like, but that won't help if the community is made of D3 Players ^ Just give us a D2 Remaster already. If not this Blizzcon, then atleast the next one for the 20th year D2 Anniversary. Let's hope hop classic games team is soon done with Warcraft 3 reforged so they can focus on D2... Let's all F for now in silence and hope for a announcement next year.. F
The cinematic visuals look fitting to the genre and the franchise Diablo. But that is just one part of a game. Just watching the smiter charge around brings me tears of joy :')
The thing is, these expectations are written all over the internet. It's really not difficult to open Reddit and read through a few of those (as Devs) and come up with something the players want.
I plaid Diablo II - Lord of Destruction, and this is one of my favorite parts. I can’t even believe that it was released almost 20 years ago. I remember we were playing it as kids, and it was hard for us to play. Someone was playing, and the rest of the group used to stare and give him bits of advice. It makes me nostalgic. Hopefully, this game can run on my computer. I also recently found out that runes are available to purchase on https://www.yesgamers.com/diablo-2/runes I think purchasing runes will make this game way easier.
