Currently lvl 130 Bishop, have a friend who is an IL AM in the same position, and we're wondering what a decent way of making Mesos would be for when we're unable or uninterested in providing leech or APQs. At the point now where we're needing to gear up in a big way, and hurting for money and levelling up faster than our income can support (things like mastery books, APRs for basic MP washing). Are there any good maps people would recommend for this? I'm aware it's probably not going to stack up against Leeching/APQs, but something I can do when these things aren't an option would be very appreciated!
Hey, I'm a 149 IL mage who plays exclusively solo. I would suggest Ulu Estate II, or, in my opinion the better map, Deep Sea Gorge II. Just gonna ramble about both maps after spending countless hours at each. Ulu Estate II is awesome when you can 1-hit everything because it is the most braindead gameplay possible, and every 2 minutes you run around making a few hundred thousand in raw meso. I find it takes longer to fill up my equip slots here due to the spawn and/or drop rate, but I suppose it's made up for the very high NPC sell amount on a lot of the drops (many drops over 300k; Beheaders are 470k each). I find it annoying to loot as I take damage no matter what due to the flat terrain, but it's a very easy place to make money NPCing drops if you stay there a while. You also risk someone popping in and taking the map while you're selling drops since it's such a popular map. Deep Sea Gorge II is more fun imo. If you want something with a little more variety and different positions to attack from, farm there. Blizzard allows you to hit the entire screen at the right times - there are 3 sweet spots if you drop from top to bottom where you can mob every Goby together in one pass, blow them all up with Blizz/Big Bang, and if you do enough damage quickly you can do this 2-3 times in 2 minutes and collect a ton of drops. It's not worth quite as much as some of the Ulu drops, but you will pick them up much faster. I'll usually drop anything that's worth less than 100k, sometimes drop the 100k ones too like Pirate Hats, because Seraph Capes drop like crazy and those are worth 270k apiece. You can make millions from NPCing just Seraph Capes. Between efficiently choosing my drops and the raw mesos I can easily make tens of millions every time I go back to town, and I don't get hit nearly as often as I do at Ulu. And if you don't like using up VIP Rocks for some reason it's super fast and easy to run back to this map. I made a billion mesos in a couple of days just screwing around at DSG2, pure meso drops and NPCing equipment and potion drops.
