IGN: Sefron Problem: My account has been compromised. Details: I am an infrequent player, and typically I will get on the site to vote every once in a while. I logged into my account from the website to see what my current NX balance was, and it was clear that my account had been drained. I was probably sitting on around 200k NX or so, and now I am down to 10k. I immediately downloaded the updated client and logged into my characters. Indeed, all my tradeable items are gone. I understand my items will not be returned, but nevertheless, I lost a 102 attack concerto, my STR and DEX overalls for my sair, my 12 att WG, etc. and I lost all my priest's items as well. My ele staff gone, int robes gone, fucking everything just gone, cannot remember stats on most items as it had been months. Bills lost for sure. I have a suspicion that a hacker saw my items when I had a shop setup in FM1 and decided to break into my account. In retrospect, my passwords, including PIN and PIC are not very good, but I had never been hacked on a video game before so it didn't really cross my mind. Thanks staff, hope you can help me to resecure my account and if possible help me recover my items, as it took me months and months of voting to obtain them. Edit: I also noticed all my keybindings were reset.
Please note that hacked accounts are not subject to refunds as there have not been database breaches from our end resulting in hackings in the distant past. Set a strong PIN/PIC when you log in next and change your password from the homepage portal when the control panel is back up to ensure your characters cannot be accessed by others again.
