When ever i was trying to make a forum account using my home IP address, i was not able to. When i click the "Submit" button, i would get a message saying "We have detected automated or spam like behaviour, please contact admin...". I have entered all the required details, even the catcha button for verification. Today, i decided to try creating an account using my 3G... and because that is a different IP address, i was able to create an account. I would like to know if anyone else faced the same problem, or whether a GM understands this situation. It was kinda weird. ** Is it against the rules creating a forum account like this?? I tried everything, different browsers and all, but still no hope.. only a change in IP address was a solution. Also, i just started playing 2 days ago, does that affect the creation of accounts? Hi and welcome to the forums! I believe you spoke to Eli in game about this. Not sure if you ran into him a second time, but the reason you got that message is either due to your computer being infected with malware causing your IP address to show up on IP blacklists, or your IP address is on a blacklist for another reason. These blacklists are checked by our forum software when you attempt to register in order to protect the forum from bots that may post malicious links or spam. The way you created your account is allowed, and it should not affect the creation of your accounts.
Ahh yes..I spoke with Eli.. Ty for reply..I'll see what is wrong with my IP.. Or maybe the forum server doesn't accept certain IPs.. In India, we have hundreds of small isps, and I'm using one of them.. I used a high quality 3g ISP..maybe that's why it accepted.
