tbh i just feel like this event is only good for 4th job mages with multiple attack skills. i mean don't get me wrong, you guys did a cool job but like where's pierre? idk just seem like this event is only good for farmers.
The bosses that spawn from monsters replaced Pierre, and they are easy for any class to kill enough of to have Plump Pumpkin Boxes for days. I've just been doing silly quests these past days and already have more Pumpkin Boxes than I have time to turn in. The candy collecting is the same as it has been in the past, albeit with different rewards. Then there's the Jump Quest, which doesn't favour 4th job mages, and there's even a NEW jump quest, which also doesn't favour 4th job mages. So if anything, this year's Halloween Event favours mages less than last year's, because there is new content that is equally difficult for all classes. So unless your opinion is that these Halloween Bosses spawn too seldom (which is definitely not true imo), then I don't know what your arguments are.
Definitely +1 on the non-pierre idea because you don't have to login at a specific time interval to get the plump boxes. Spoiler low key want pierre back because i loved seeing a group of people gather in one place. kind of similar to the fm button, where it brought many people together. Would definitely like to see a easier way to get the zombie army ring like last year, ie. 30 hand ins for the ring instead of random attempts to get it (tbh you might not even get it cause it's RNG based... throw back when sila didn't get the ahri chair from endless turnins last year) or a lower cd time on the hand ins for the plump box. Some people just want to do the event on their alternative characters until they get their rings.
I haven't logged on to play this year, but as someone who pushes every year for the dropping of candies, I can guarantee it does not favor mages only. I take my perma beginner and grind around Kerning and HHG to get the candies and have had enough to get several of the rewards from Malady. So if nothing else, the dropping of candies and the Malady exchange NPC are not good only for 4th job mages.
I just loved the whole 4 hour boss spawn tbh great way of way of getting together with friends & meeting new people
kinda agree with farmers thing ;( the miniboss or how you call spawn maps when certian number of mobs are being killed (wich mages dose faster) i had friend ingame that could not find-get any for a long time and while me as bish geting 1 each few min (was looking unfair) so did call him to kill to let him take some but well in other hand thats ability of each class farm support att while true we mages can get many mobs but we cant kill fast like others as we are limited to 2lines per sec unlike other so call eachother and help team work its fun!
Atleast make the rings tradeable if you wanna keep em so rare with these 8 hour boxes! Or make the turnins 4-6hours! 8 hours is such a long time
also, let me rephrase. the event as a whole is successful i suppose. i am not talking about jump quests tho. i just think this pumpkin box method this year is easier for mages. like i get that they might spawn frequently but you cant tell me that mages don't have it easier.
I still support the idea of allowing choice of one untradeable item for someone who already has the ring. AKA gimme the stupid ahri chair already, I've had the ring for 2 years now. ;_;
Where was the use of skills/999 damage during the anniversary event, my god. I think everything overall is pretty good though. As for mages with multiple attacks, I assume you mean ultimates? They only hit each thing once though, useless for taking down the mini-bosses who take a static 999 per hit. Nothing compared to fighting over a boss against a NL. My goodness, 6 attacks at that speed, no one else has a chance. In all seriousness though, they spawn everywhere and frequently enough that there's enough for everyone.
This is not correct, you are guaranteed the ring if you don't have it, there is no RNG involved to receive it, the NPC just fails to mention it right now.
I believe the amount of boxes needed to get the ring (ignore what I said up there) will be appropriately adjusted to allow for getting the ring in about the same time had it been counting all along.
Yeaa I noticed I had made a typo so it wasn't actually counting before, and the easiest solution was to lower the requirement from 30 to 20 instead.
