Hello! Happy Thanksgiving to all Americans out there. I think today is not only an important day for food, but it's a great day to reflect on your blessings that you may have despite other hindrances in your life that may be occurring. For me, I'm thankful that I have not contracted COVID while working and interacting with thousands of people a day at work. I'm thankful that I am 4 months sober from alcohol, which has improved my quality of life drastically. I'm thankful for my weight-loss journey that started last year, and am finally at my goal of 170 lbs. I bought a new car last month, I'm saving money to move back out of my parents house in February, and to go back to school to finish my degree so I can move up in my field. I'm thankful for the promotion I received at work to becoming a Senior Butcher (experienced meat cutter, not a cutting up of senior citizens), which came with a nice pay raise, giving me loads of overtime to keep stacking money in my bank account. I'm lonely at times, I still have a lot of other things not going so great, but in a day like today, it's important to reflect on the positives that you do have and look at the brightside of things. I know times are tough right now, this year even more so than previous years. I just ask that you remember it could be worse, and you absolutely have the power to change things that you are dissatisfied with. I believe in you, and I know you can do it. So, what are you thankful for this year? I hope you all have a fantastic holiday, and stay safe!
