The portals in the fireplaces give a message declaring 'The portal is closed for now'. This is fine as they might just be available when it's the halloween event. The issue is, then you get this message it puts your character in a stuck state. You can't enter any other portals on the map although you still hear the sound as if using the portal and you can't change channel. The only way to fix this is by relogging. This issue is the same for the fireplaces found in the library too.
