Solved [Solution Given] Having trouble playing

im a new user here who wants to start playing MapleRoyals, but for some reasons i cant manage to start playing.
do you need to have the normal maplestory game in order to play?
and can any one write a step-by-step guide on how to install the game?

btw i do not have maplestory downloaded, and after installing and trying to launch the game i got error code 2005530585

 

You download the client then you double click the client and run it.

Where do you get the problem?

 

yeah after downloading the client i clicked on the leaf icon to launch the game then got a black screen for a second following an error code 20055....

Sounds very much like the download got corrupted.

I would suggest go into the control panel uninstall mapleroyals, then disable your antivirus and browser security and download it again.

 

how do i disable browser security?

 

Depends on what browser you are using, I use google chrome so I go into settings and disable "anti phishing protection"

You could try and just replace the client with the download link from here here not sure if that will work but it might be worth trying, I would since my download speed is rather slow.

Download it to your desktop then drag it into your mapleroyals folder and click REPLACE.

 

Tried redowloading the download on the site but got the same problem.
now i`ll try doing what you suggested with the link you provided, what are the exact steps i need to do to make it work?

 

tried to run it, but got an error saying cant start the program since wzmss.dll is missing in your computer.

Yeah thats the error i got when i downloaded the game from the download section on the site.

I didnt quite understand what you need to do with the client in the link you provided, where should i copy it?

 

Drag it into your mapleroyals folder and click replace. No copying.

The client you downloaded has no use if you don't have it in the correct folder and you can only have 1 in your folder so you need to replace the other one with the new one.

Are you using a weird setup, like several monitors, very high resolution, another user fixed this by switching the screen he was using.

 

Download and used the CCleaner, then tried to run the game after the change of clients. still getting the same error.
