Hey! I didn't really think a thread in the intro/farewell is appropriate since I am not returning or leaving. Just stopping by to say hello. For those of you that don't know me: My name is Luke. I am currently 18 years old. I started MapleRoyals way back when (Aug 2013?). I am currently not active since I am in my freshman year of college. There simply is not time to play. For everyone: Hi! It's been awhile, a couple months more or less. I wanted to check up on things, see how everyone is and how things are going. Any oldies that know me still hang around? How's the server going? Stable yet? Is the community as active as when I left? More active? Anyway, I'm home for the weekend so I'll be checking this thread. Probably won't read much else on the forum, since I am still pretty busy despite being home. If anyone wants to chat beyond this thread feel free to leave me a PM and we can exchange Skypes. Or if you already have mine feel free to drop a message. Just think of this thread as a general discussion on the current status of the server, which includes all things MapleRoyals. The servers are much stable than they were during the Summer, but it's been more inactive due to school. The forums, on the other hand, haven't changed much in terms of activeness because of a few more forum addicts such as myself. Horntail was finally defeated and now people are planning runs every week.

Heh, I remember third-wheeling (joking) you and Tay for a short while at HHG back then but that's about it. I'm happy you made the right decision - freshman year of college is not a time to be gaming, it's the time for networking, making life-long friends, and puking into a storm drain off the side of the road.
LUKKEEEEE!! How has your first year been?! All is well over here! Schools flying by so quickly. I'm competing in a hair competition in November and in also taking my nursing exams in November too. I am a little stressed out about it but I am excited at the same time. Did you take your midterms yet? The maple community is a bit different to me then how it was before. A lot of people I know had to go away for a bit to focus on school. Hopefully they all pay a little visit like you did!
Hello! HORNTAIL DEFEATED? HORNTAIL WAS ADDED? I did more work in my first week of classes than my entire high school career in terms of homework and academics. Good luck, soldier. Oh, I wouldn't call it third wheeling. Her and I were never a thing haha. And it wasn't much of a decision in the end, there simply is not much time to game. Some people find time to do it, but I have too many other things to do, like puking in the storm drain. Though I am proud to say I haven't puked yet, despite the large intakes of alcohol. It's only a matter of time. I've also managed to avoid hangovers so far. Water is your friend. The university experience has been surreal so far. I went from a life of sitting on my computer for hours on end with next to no thought or motivation to now having barely any time to call my own. I can truly relate to Mr. Ivan Denisovich, who is a fictional character in a Russian GULAG. He says the only time he truly has to himself is in the morning before he has to get up and do labor. I agree! From the second I decide to get up I am busy. All the way til midnight or 1am. It's ridiculous! I only have 2 midterms thank the divinities, though I have one more next week. Tests aren't what frightens you in college though, it's the endless research papers and projects. Don't take neuroscience. Yeah, as a pretty archaic member of the MapleStory private server community I understand how it fluctuates throughout the year. I think I started like 6 or 7 years ago now. I'm honestly surprised it is still going strong. The thrill of MapleStory died off about 4 or 5 years ago for me haha. Enjoy it while it lasts, I can't see it lasting too many more years!
