Hi everyone! Just joined this server and am excited I used to play a Bishop in MSEA pre BB and now that I'm playing again, I'm wondering if I should play the same class as before? Is Bishop overpopulated here? I love to play mages It's fun to attack at a distance with spells. However I am also tempted to play an attacker class since I never did before, any suggestions? Thanks
Hi Wuhao, welcome to Royals! Super nice to see you so happy to be here. Bishops are overpopulated, think of all 4th job classes Bishops are about half of them. Saying that though, everyone suggests you make a Bishop as your first class to fund any future classes you decide to make because those attacker classes sure can be expensive if you plan on HP washing! At the end of the day though, you play whatever makes you happiest
Welcome to Royals! I guess Shona has summarized the majority of the point but I'd like to add that you don't necessarily need to HP wash to play an attacker, it's a luxury. I know many friends who made an attacker class as their first character and they turned out just fine so you're not missing anything if you do decide to not make a bishop as a first character. Make whatever class you want, as long as you enjoy it. If you do plan on HP washing... it's ridiculously expensive.
You can easily play something like a hero or a dark knight from the beginning and still wash without sacrificing too much damage/leveling speed
Thanks everyone for the replies! Wasn't checking the forums regularly I made an I/L (to be) in the end ^^. They're cool (pun intended) and I'm just so used to mages since they can go everywhere. Although I'll probably not be recruited for boss runs My next character is probably a DK though since I always admired them back in the days So happy to see so many ppl on the server!
