Hey I am a lvl 33 cleric and would appreciate some advice. I am new to the game so I don't really know where to level at the moment. I tried CPQ but I do very low damage and its hard to find members to go in a party with me because of that. And I also made a mistake that someone told me. I upgraded Energy Bolt to level 20 instead of Magic Claw. Like I said, I have no experience in this game. It is hard to progress in CPQ with energy bolt. I could reset my stats for a total of 40,000 NX but is it worth it? I am struggling right now and do not know what to do. You guys are a lot more experienced so maybe you have some advice for me, it would really help me a lot.
It's probably not worth it, soon enough heal should start to take over anyways meaning it'd only help you level a bit faster for a few levels and then won't do anything. CPQ will suck with magic claw too anyways, I'd recommend finding somewhere else to train. Also, make sure to go pure int, don't add AP to luk.
Double claw teddy/boar, whichever u can 1 hit. (if u only have bolt then it would be harder) Right now it’s the summer event, and people farm outside perion a lot, you could ask them to party you and allow u to leech for free. Map: https://bbb.hidden-street.net/map/mini-map/hidden-street-the-land-of-wild-boar-i Put sp on heal. A few lvls later you could try platoon (maple shield 1.5m, 7 int shield 20-30m). Higher lvl you could try master chronos, jr wraith, and wraith. Zombies (lvl 57) are good exp and good meso. (I know a guy who saved like 1b from 50 to 90, and then buy leech to hit 120.) In the past gs2 (lvl 63) was good but it’s nerfed. I never grind at mp3 or other map but you could try. When you max holy symbol, find people who are grinding and offer hs. Join a guild, when you are 96, find headless horseman (960,000 exp), and ask people to help you. When ur 105, find Bigfoot (8.5m exp). If you have meso, buy leech when lvl up is hard. Hit 120 asap, then you print ur own meso at zombies and pythons (Thailand), or sell leech for 70-80m per hour (also 10-30m drops NPC meso). Decide what you enjoy: leeching or bossing. If leeching, get gene 30 and mw20. Level up to 150 then stop getting exp, get good gears to 1 hit skele. If bossing, make a physical job: Paladin: cheap, necessary pt skill Shadower: great dps, great pt skill, great survival, expensive Bucc: kinda cheap, great dps, great party skills NL: great single target dmg but NO pt skill at all. And also make mules (pal, bm/mm, arch mage farming mules, hb mule, etc. ). Leeching 4x (or more) 30-50 chars is about the same speed as leeching 1 char. Leeching 4 chars 60-70 is about 80% the exp (on each of the char) as leeching 1 char. Don’t make nl/hero/corsair.
Leveling with energy bolt would be tough but with a Maple Staff at lvl 35 you might still be able to 1-hit Genin in Ninja Castle until you get enough points in heal to move to Wraiths. My usual leveling scheme for new clerics is 1-8: Maple Island quests (with island mule to donate snail shells/help with some of Mai's training quests). 8-15: Magician training quests 15-30: Orbis etc or grind at Bubblings/Wild boars. 30-40: Genin in Ninja Castle 40-50: Wraiths 50+: Coolie Zombies for exp and $$$. 81+: Self leech or leech from others by casting HS and hanging on a rope. Or duo Himes once you're high enough level. If you don't mind remaking your character, it's probably more efficient than spending 40k nx to get Magic Claw. At a rate of 12m/ap reset, 40k nx would be equivalent to about 150m mesos, so if that's too much for you, I'd consider remaking. It doesn't take too long to get to lvl 30 in this server, honestly.
