I'm a new player to Maple Royals and I'm having a blast. However I decided to start a Sin and its expensiveness and early game is killing me. Is it worth me starting a Bishop to fund my sin? Or do I just need to find some good training spots and grind out the early game?

Making a bishop first certainly has advantages, but in the amount of time it would take you, you could probably get your sin to a decent level. You can vote every day for what amounts to 25-30 mil each time. You can do some profitable quests or follow the good advice from Cyndy's money making guide. Once you hit 135+ you'll be able to join regular zakum runs and slowly upgrade your equips.

Personally, I stopped training my hermit around level 80 to start a bishop under the belief that I can make billions and leech myself. Well I've invested a ton of time plus 800 mil into my bishop and I've made like 300 mil back. My opportunity cost here (or what I missed out) is probably a 4th job night lord by now with 3+ bil in net worth. Obviously I've made mistakes along the way, and I'll make the money back once I start spamming genesis, but it's important to recognize that time is your #1 resource and your success is directly related to how you choose to spend your time.

From one relatively new player to another, I think the key is to not get caught up in comparing yourself to other players—there will always be someone who wields better equips, does more damage, and has three times the HP you do. Don't let that demoralize you. Set goals for yourself, stick to that path, and you'll get there eventually. That's my 2 cents.

I should probably add: if you stick with your sin as a long-term project, you may want to HP wash for Horntail. For the unfunded, it means zak helm by level 60ish and preferably a dep star. Plenty of resources you can check out on that topic :)

Making one would be nice, but if you're starting off Dexless, you won't be missing out terribly in training or making money. Just make sure to use most of your money in potions for now and funding will come in the way of NX and various monster drops like scrolls and godly equips.

Thank you very much for the reply. I will take your advice and continue with my Sin for now.

Another question I want to ask is, Is it worth going Luk and Dex on the Sin for now, for easier equips then use a AP reset later and go Dexless?

I've read a bit on HP washing but I still dont really understand it. From what I understand, its where you put a AP in HP get a AP reset and pop up will ask you to remove the AP you spent in HP from your MP? If this is correct couldn't I do that with 2 AP resets one when I'm say 130, putting all AP in HP, reset?
Edit. Just found out about HP washing on youtube so I understand that now :)

Let me tell ya, Starting the Game as a SIN first is hard. It really is. The trick to it is get good at sorting out your AP, Head toward high and fast damage, and get moving fast and don't give up.

If you're struggling, add me In Game. Same name.

I started out fresh on this server with nothing. Once you get the hang of things, you'll be zesty.

    Edit: Dexless Sin ftw.

Definitely start off Dexless because the Maple weapons will offset any advantage you'll get from a full Dex or low Dex build early on. After you've gotten to the point where you're planning on investing on an end game claw, slowly add in Dex for your claw and scroll your gear accordingly.
