From what I've researched, this quest is completed by a lightbulb appearing on your head and nothing else happens. Also, I can't progress any further because it just sends me back to the beginning. What am I supposed to do? I feel like an idiot for not making any progress.
"I would need to go back to the beginning where my adventure began" is a clue. You have to go to your first job instructor. In your case that would be the archer instructor in Henesys
