Hi all, I am using Windows 10 on the Microsoft Edge browser. I downloaded the .wz file from the forum link, yet when I did that it was downloaded as a .zip file (winzip). I moved that onto the mapleroyals folder and the existing etc.wz file didn't get replaced. Attached is a photo showing how my MapleRoyals folder looks after moving the etc.zip file. I'm under the impression I have to unzip the file first to obtain the etc.wz file that can replace the old etc.wz?
Ok, I think I understand the problem. Could you go to Control Panel and then go to Appearance and Personalization? Then when you've opened that, can you go to File Explorer Options? You then get a pop-up with 3 tabs, when you check the View tab you should get a list of Advanced Settings. In that list can you tell me if Hide extensions for known files is ticked off? If so, please tick it to be turned on and press apply. When you've done this your Etc file should show as Etc.zip, and then you should be able to rename it to Etc.wz Make sure to move your old Etc.wz file away to a different folder before renaming the new one though. Let me know if this works / helps.
Sorry I derped a bit, "Hide extensions for known file types" is supposed to be ticked off for this to work. I don't know why I said ticked on! Could you please tick Hide extensions for known file types off, move the old etc.wz file to a different folder and then try to rename your new etc.wz to etc.wz?
